Hello Fellow Fitness Fanatics and Gym Rats! :qt:



I just wanted to share with all of you, a couple of Natural supplements I’m taking for a magnificent night Sleep! Due to the fact that most of us here ( I know I am) are steroid users, I usually try to keep other things and supplements that I use besides steroids, to Natural herbs and extracts. I’m currently taking the following Cheap, affordable and easy to get supplements.

**Melatonin 5mg: 30 minutes before going to bed. Melatonin is a hormone made by the pineal gland, a small gland in our brains. It helps control your sleep and wake cycles. Its production slows dramatically as we age. Cost around $ 10.00 for a bottle

**Valerian Extract 350mg: 30 Minutes before going to bed. Valerian Extract is a herbal medicine made from the roots of Valerian (a Herb). It is most commonly used for sleep disorders and the inability to sleep.

**HOPS 300mg 30 Minutes before bed. HOPS is a Plant, the dried flowering part of the plant is used to make medicine. HOPS is used for anxiety. Inability to sleep, restlessness, tension, excitability, nervousness and irritability.

**Ashwagandha 300mg 30 Minutes before bed: Ashwagandha is a plant, the root and berry are used to make medicine. It is used for anxiety, trouble sleeping, stress, it improves thinking ability, prevents the effects of aging, increases sexual desire.

I’m sure that there are a lot of supplements that combine this together, but I like to buy them individually so I can mix the correct doses mentioned above.

They are all really really cheap supplements and all natural. I decided to make this quick post because man! I have to say every time I take this mix I sleep like a little baby after drinking milk from my mother’s breast ! (Not that I remember this but I imagined I slept pretty good back then) LOL. :biggrin: Also even when I don’t sleep 7 or 8 hours, and I only sleep like 4 or 5, I wake up extremely energetic and not tired at all!!

This looks right up my alley. I've been having sleep problems and I've always had minor anxiety issues. I've just never wanted to be doped up on pills because I get by just fine. I'll give it a try since it's cheap and natural. If you don't mind me asking, where do you buy all these individually at?

Good stuff bro. I might try it out. I have taken zma and worked pretty good. I also have tried different teas but honestly warm milk works great for me. Thanks for the info

I feel you man! whenever I'm anxious or stressed or tired and sleeplessness i take one of these mixed and I'm just as new!

Most of this stuff you can get in the natural supplements section of walmart, very very cheap! I paid 2.99 for a bottle of valerian root pills. The melatonin you can also get at walmart for like 7 bucks per bottle. The HOPS extract and the ashwagandha you can get online real cheap, just google HOPS extract for sale it cone out. If you cant find it PM i'll give a legit and cheap online site that i get it from.

I've taken ZMA in the past too and it seemed to help a bit, but i would wake up very sleepy. With this stuff mixed bro even if i only sleep 4 hours i wake up very rested and energetic. And what i like the most is that it because they are herbs they don't create habit, so i DONT take it everyday only as a supplement when i want to get a good nights sleep ,when im feeling too tired or when i know i only have a couple of hours to sleep and wanna make the most out of it. I had to share this with you guys , its too good to have kept it a secret Hahaha:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
 
Which one out of Valerian Extract and Ashwagandha was the most effective? Any sides from taking them?

I would avoid melatonin for now as I'm only 26, but seems something good to supplement as you age.

Bro the combination of both is what makes it effective. Valerian is more of a sleep aid and Ashwagandha is more of a stress and anxiety helper, so the mixture if both is what does the trick.
No side effects whatsoever , these are natural herbs so as long as you stick to the adequate dosage you shouldnt have any side effects at all. Im 25 and i've been using on and off since i did my first cycle at 21 bc i was having trouble sleeping. Since then as i said i've been using it on and off when i need a good sleep or im tired etc.
