I have not tried it. In fact, I've barely tried any Barleywine's. I'm just now trying out some sours.
There's a chain of Russian owned bottle shops near me and they all carry another Hair Of The Dog that runs about $100/bottle. I think it's atomic or nuclear something. It's also high alcohol and they recommend sipping it like a bourbon. I'll probably pick it up next time I'm there.

I've had Brew Dogs' Tactical Nuclear Penguin and Sink the Bismarck when I was at their pub in Camden UK, they're both in the 30-40% abv range. Served in a snifter and sipped like bourbon as well, they were spectacular...it was also the atmosphere too at the pub in the UK that made you appreciate the whole experience.
I'd love to try some various Hair of the Dog brews but they don't make their way to the east coast. When I was in San Diego in May I had no idea what a craft brew meca it has become, I'm very jelly of you and CEO. I'll have to come visit my boy in Carlsbad more often and let you two know I'm coming next time.

We have 72 craft breweries in SD. About 50 of them are in North County. Our surrounding areas of O.C., Temecula/Riverside and LA also have tons of craft breweries. CEO, Nef, Wulfgar, All The Whey and I met up at Green Flash Brewing a week ago. It was a good time.
You ate at Pizza Port Carlsbad, right? Last couple years they've got 1st place at the Great American Beer Fest, and about 2 years ago they took 1st in 14 of the categories.

Pizza Port, Stone Brewery, Hennesey's and some other place on the beach, had such a great time in 24 hours.

Did you hit up the Stone Tap room in Oceanside, or the actual Stone World Gardens Brewery in Escondido? The food in Esco is amazing, but pretty pricey for a brew house.
Yeah went to Esco, I killed two orders of Qual Knots and something else, those Qual Knots were fucking amazing.
