I finally got TRT! But I have a question

Thank you bro, I will check for that. Can you just run hot water over the vial itself?

Sure, but I keep my water heater pretty hot and dont have the patience to hold it for a couple minutes :).

Im sure the dosing inj to inj would be much more consistent if it was heated if you have a brand or lot that was prone to gumming up. Problem is you usually cant tell if its going to gum up until after you have used 5ml or so out of a 10 ml vial.

Typically you will have a few blood tests done with the first 6 months to see where you are at. If you do a cycle it's going to effect your levels for a long time and if he asks for blood work during that time frame, you will have high levels and will lower your dose.

You will never get 800-900mgs a week. I'd say 200 a week will be where he will keep you at. You should be more than 600 after a few months on even at 200mgs EOW. Have to let the Test build up in your system. That's when he will check your levels after 3 months.

I was given the single vials at first and no matter how many times i asked for a 10ml she would not budge at the beginning. They want to monitor for sure what you are taking. After you get a set dose then you will get the bigger vials. Watson has the single vials also. So does Pfizer. I never noticed a difference.

I definitely understand the positive effects of TRT as I felt the same as you before starting it. 24 Is young for life long TRT. But if there was no way of restoring your natural levels then you have to do what it takes.

If you get bloodwork done and it shows you're at 900 or something and you don't know where it's at until you see him. And you tell him you feel no different at 900 then he's gonna think you're just lying. Going from 262 to 900 will definitely make you feel better. But what you can say Is that the first week you feel great but the 2nd week you start to decline. Which I'm sure you may experience by every other week injections anyway. He may want to take blood to check your levels on the 7th day after injection to see where your levels are then too. If they are low, then he will give you every week injects.

ok cool, thanks Z

liquid, that sounds good. I wont be doing a cycle for a while, and unlike musclemom says, im not doing this so i can abuse steroids. Abusing steroids is why im in this mess in the first place. thats funny she would say im a steroid junkie, im sure more than 50% of us on EF that are on HRT also juice it up once in a while. Blast and cruise, no crash when you come off, no need to buy pct products, its just an added bonus to cycling. OBviously if i could take all the prohormones that i did back, I would, but I cant change the past. Its nice to know that other people felt the same way I did before starting HRT. I just KNOW its low test because of the sides and how I use to feel

Anyway, Im gonna let the doc do what he wants until I know I wont be getting tested except every 6 months. Well just see what the blood work shows and go from there. but I definitely wont be adding anything else until me and the doc are on the same page. I dont want to skew any results.

Yea, just let it play out and see where the doc gets you at, just keep in mind if he does labs 5 days after a 200mg injection you levels are going to be pretty high. The problem with the docs approach is all in the lab timing and my only concern is that he isnt going to realize that and low ball your dose because he opted to test too soon after a larger, less frequent dose. If he is testing 2 week after a 200mg inj then you should be good but if he wants to test you 5-7 days after a 200mg injection your labs will probably come back high.

As I mentioned before, your within your right to ask him what his game plan is. Dont be afraid to tell him you have done some research and talked to many older guys on TRT. If you think he is dead set on the 2 week injection interval thats when I would consider changing things up without telling him.

If you know he wants labs say 5 days after an injection, I would do 100mg the inj before the lab test.

How long were you off all steroids to determine if you needed HRT or not? You may have been shut down from all the abuse but a guy your age could bounce back given some time, no?

Ecen though I am on TRT, I honestly believe the need for TRT is more often than not derived from some other issue. For example, there are a whole slew of digestive bacteria, fungi etc that over time pollute the body, hijack various pathways, reduce vitamin/mineral uptake etc. Most of the time people with such infections or overgrowth dont even know they have a problem. Tests are expensive are rarely run by normal doctors and over time they stress the body causing systemic inflammation and adrenal stress.

Im currently undergoing extensive testing for determine my gut health and once I can be certain thats in order im actually going to drop off trt and see if I can get my test levels back up naturally.

SD, I took clomid to see if it would raise my test, and it did, but the symptoms were all still there. I havent taken a cycle in a while, but I know i probably messed myself up from the prohormones I took since I was 16 and the couple cycles I took as well. BUt I didnt want to spend a bunch of money taking natural supps to raise my test, just to see my test levels fall back down once I stopped taking the supps.

Actually the reason I came to EF to begin with was because my husband needed HRT, I wanted to educate myself because it's not his bag. He's never lifted a weight other than for work purposes and he's not into the physical vanity thing. I'd love to get him to exercise but it ain't happening.

Now both he and I are on HRT. He started HRT back in 2006 when he was 52. His levels were in the 200s, which actually was within "normal" range but I requested the results be sent home. His family doctor wanted to put him on an antidepressant. I sent him to another doctor for HRT. The bitch that saw me for my gyn exam wasn't going to put me on therapy either, but I had another doctor lined up who gets it.

My point is, you did this to yourself, and not trying to UNdo it is crazy. If you haven't cleared your system for six months and given yourself time to reboot then you're not giving it a fair shot. Once you start this path you're done, you're committed. Your testes will atrophy after a few months and then there won't be anything you can do. You think you're done having kids at 24, I'm telling you, shit can change. I would have given anything if my husband hadn't had a vasectomy before I met him. At the time reversals were cutting edge technology and way too expensive, too late now.

And uh, no, no reputable doctor is going to put you on 800 mg a week. Ever. A normal dose is 100 to 200 MAX. If you try to "tweak" things so they bump you they're going to realize that you're full of crap if you don't respond after 200 mg. That's why you've been put on single dose vials, the doctor doesn't trust you. When my husband was prescribed injections he got a full sized 10 mg vial.

Face it, you LOOK like you do/have done roids, do you really think any doctor is going to prescribe unlimited shit to you, at your age? Seriously? I thought you had half a brain, at least.

He doesn't want to be on 800mg per week . That's the number at which he would like his test level (I think it's ng/dl, but not sure).
