BMW M6 coupe (non-convertable)

All options except:

Top end sound system
Night vision package

It's a 2013 on the showroom floor. I'm sure the 2014's aren't that far away.

How much should they discount it from MSRP? What should I offer?

Everyone is poor here man, bad place to ask

Fuuuuuuuuuuck.

C'mon guys. How much off should I ask for? Surely they're making room for the 2014's.

invoice is around 101-102 start there.

Thank you.

As configured, the price on the sticker is $125k

But they've thrown around numbers from $119 to $108, but I believe the 108 is the MRSP on the base configuration with no add-ons.

Do those numbers "add up"?

Call the other closest BMW dealer. Tell them you talked to their competitor and they're running the the numbers and you want the best price and tell them you will be purchasing by whatever day.

A jeep doesn't count. I'm talking about the kind of guy who drives a convertible mustang or even worse, a miata.

i know...it just seemed like a good opportunity to poke a little fun at my recently waning hairline...the fucking stress of my uncle/partner dying during tax season has started to kick the shit out my once beautiful head of luxurious hair :(

bmw dealers have an insane markup. I bought a 650i about a month ago from Global Imports here in Atlanta. They had it stickered at 104 I think. I countered at 92 and would not move past 94. If they know you're a qualified buyer they'll potentially come WAY down. Walk if you have to. They're likely to give you a call within a few weeks to a month.

There's a dark gray one fresh off the boat -- 2014 model.

Would that be closer to list price, or do they come off those as well?

Buying a new vehicle is just ridiculous...the depreciation is way too bad..you can prob find a 2013 with 500 miles for way cheaper

I don't think that someone shopping for an M6 has to worry about being thrifty.

They're dropping the prices on the 2013's even now.

But I wonder if I'm screwing myself on trade-in value.

Historically I drive cars till they're 120+K miles because it seem thrifty.

If you're trading in, you'll either get a good value for your old car, OR you'll get a good deal on the new one. You seldom get both, unless you're trading in the same brand. You just need to have an idea of what balance you want to pay.

For example, if you're trading in the Range Rover on an M6, the RR plus $75K could mean you're paying full boat on the M6 but making out like a bandit on the RR, or you're getting a great deal on the M6 and getting raped on the RR. It's the same money either way you look at it.

I think if I was in your shoes I would buy new...like DB said...I would try really hard to get the dealer down. I would take a 2013...if the prices are much lower...what are the differences in options from the 2014?

There really isn't a difference at all between the 2013 and 2014.

They've now offered $12K off a 2013, but I think I could get that raised to $15k (or more).

The 2014 is more like list price.

But fast forward three years from now. Would a 2014 selling in 2016 sell for $12-$15k more than a 2013 selling in 2016?

I just wonder if it's basically the same money either way.

Hell no...i would say around 3000-5000...usually a three year stretch not much changes for options...

I have a pretty much brand new 2009 BMW X5...nothing barely has changed from the 2012!

Ouch... Sounds like it would be a solid 10K (or more) to splurge on a coming-year model.

Thanks for the info.

Lotta factors to consider like miles and condition but 2 almost identical cars 1 model year apart won't be much different on the resale side of things a couple years down the road

It's a BMW and like any other luxury vehicle you're gonna take it in the shorts either way.

Totally...i actually like Planks ride....might get one for my next company vehicle...same price as a modded duramax denali anyways

Im thinking Plunk...im a car guy also....im looking at a BMW next or Aston Martin...not for awhile though lol

Those Astons are absolutely gorgeous.

But I've learned my lesson about owning a car that doesn't have a local dealership. That damn Ferrari almost killed me. Basically you have to ship it back and forth to Atlanta. And to make matters worse, the Atlanta dealerships were just a pain in the ass. Knoxville limits my choices.

I got my eye on a sweet base model Camry lease deal!

Considering it's Monday night at Cutter's, you've probably got your eye on some John's peener poking through a glory hole in a bathroom stall right now.

Just sayin'

I may go big and get boneless chicken thighs the next time I go shopping.

I went with Publix chicken on the way home.

Mrs. Plunkey is an incredible wife, but her cooking skills are bad on a biblical scale. We're talking somewhere between boils and locust swarms.

You guys don't have a live-in cook?

I've been trying to butch up my image so I made a salad tonight.

depresingly true. 5, 6, and 7 series BMW's are expensive new, but shit their pants on first year value loss. I found my exact car, but one model year older (a 2012) and 5k miles on it, for 15 thousand dollars below the deal I worked for a new one.

butt if you buy a used model that was a former lease/rental the previous owner never gave a shit about it and likely used it to pull up small trees out of their yards with it

We hire a chef who drops off food two times a week. She has a key, unloads the containers and then loads the refrigerator with the new stuff.

She's been on vacation since the middle of last week. That means it's been Publix for me lately. But I believe she gets back today.

I'm seeing that.

The one in stock is silver and the 2014 one that's 7-10 days away is a dark gray.

I'm not sure which way I'm going to go.

They're amazing. I drove a Vanquish years ago when I lived outside of Chicago.

It was like a Ferrari and a Bentley mated.

I see there are a couple of know nothing cunt stains posting on this thread.

Thinking I got hair plugs. Ya'll better check yo shit.
