suprizingly i watched bill remove 9/11 truthers from his audience, i woulda thought he'd be way down with their cause (that bush blew up the wtc)...so he scored some points with me on that issue.

He is. I can't stomach him, even as a comedian. It's just too much. And like bino said, he's too freaking smarmy. I find myself wanting to violently remove that self satisified "I'm smarter than you" smirk off his face.
i hate when super rich dudes try so hard to connect to us working folks when really he makes fun of small town bros and jokes about flying over are less than cool states.

Bill O'Reilly is just as bad...
He name drops Harvard all the time while faking humbleness and "looking out for the folks." Perhaps I'm lucky because I never have a dog in the race while looking for hypocrisy on all sides... let people make their own decisions...Eventually we'll make the right one without the "elite" telling us what to think....but maybe I'm wrong..

Funny thing...in Military History my state school was top ranked...Oxford actively recruited my professors and stole one of my professors but I had already taken his classes....
People need to evaluate arguments based on the merits as opposed to authority...."I graduated from Harvard and therefore you should believe me." That's fine but if you graduated in journalism then it doesn't mean you are an authority on macroeconomics...(that means you Bill O'reilly).

Exactly...everything he mentions is easily explained by science...I feel sad for America.
I've been reading about forms of thought control and found your video fascinating. The way he dismisses it without understanding it. Amazing.

Exactly, it's the typical argument from authority.
In college I took the critical writing class and we came up with our basic thesis for the class; We broke down into small groups and evaluated each others thesis. Tricia is as sweet as can be but she used the bible as her primary source for a paper she wanted to write about the Ark of the Covenant; I tried to explain that you can't use the Bible to prove the Bible..as did the professor. She later changed to the Shroud of Turin and I pointed out the flaws in the science showing it was a fake...There is part of me that wants to believe there is something better than I can imagine but I have to go with reason and evidence.
