From my experience, it seems that Nolvadex, while able to prevent water
retention during a heavy steroid cycle, seems to slow down or reduce
results in muscle growth. Now, there are other anti-armoatases around. In
particular, I am talking about proviron. Although proviron has never been
an androgen that is known for causing dramatic or indeed any increases in
strength and/or muscle mass, it has been used successfully, or so I've
heard as a water retention preventer. Since it is an androgen, I would
think that it may contribute to muscle growth instead of reduce it like
nolvadex, but another line of argument is that as an androgen, it would
compete for or down-regulate androgen receptors, thus rendering the other
steroids less effective, while not causing much in terms of muscle growth
itself. Does anyone have an opinion on this? I have no problem causing
muscle growth, and do not mind holding water while doing it, but right
now, the bloat is going out of control.
