Help with Testosterone level

LimeySwine

New member
Hi guys - Im from the UK and had a blood test done a couple of weeks ago for testosterone level check and the only result they could give me was:

Serum level is normal - 10.7

I asked wtf does that mean, (In more polite terms) Can you give me any other numbers/results? The answer was no. (Great I thought).

Does anyone know what this figure means?
Cheers.

If that's calculated on a typical range where 24 or so is the ideal (with thirty being the max) you're technically 'normal' but your actually very low unless you're in your sixties or later. My doctor said I'm usually low for my age (29) and my free T is 12 or 14 (forget which number exactly but it's one of those lol). My latest doctor did say some men feel fine at my levels but he said most won't. I definitely in the don't feel fine category. See what your doctor thinks about HCG or something that would restart things, for me personally even 250 mgs every two weeks of T-shots haven't restored me to normal.

Thanks for your quick reply -

After a bit of research I found some info on "Normal" ranges:

Age----Agerage ng/dl lvl
15-24---750
25-34---700
34-44---650
45-54---600
55-64---550
65-74---500
75-84---450
85-99---400

If 10.7 is my free serum nmol/L ? then my ng/dl would be around 306? (306x0.035=10.71)
.....This is seriously low for someone looking to gain mass >.<
...did I mention im only 24! (sigh)

Whats that HCG btw?

My free test ain't much higher than yours, 12.x or something close to that. No doctor is giving me the time of day even though I feel like shit all the time.

HRT is a big deal though, and some people find that the negatives outweigh the positives when they finally get on it. You'll have to take a shot the rest of your life to keep your test levels in check.
