I just read the whole book .
I thought it was pretty interesting , he makes some valid points there .
he sugest a diet 40 % carbs , 30 % fat and 30 % proteins. But he says that you should ONLY eat LOW glycemic carbs and AVOID high glycemic carbs .
He said that high glycemix CARBS are terrible for someone trying to use his own bodyfat as a source of energy , because it SPIKES your insulin levels and this will actually make you HOLD on to your fat and also acumulate FAT .
Low glycemic carbs are digested slowly , therefore will not cause too much insulin to be released , so you can use your own stored fat as a source of energy.
He says you should balance your meals like 40 g of protein , 50 g of carbs and some fat per meal .
You know what ? In 2001 I was pretty lean and I was only eating low glycemic carbs .
This guy might be right .
I am stoping with the high glycemic carbs, Anyone trying to lose fat should do the same .
What do you guys think ?
