Happened to pick up the bible of bodybuilding this weekend - of course, arnolds modern encyclopedia of bodybuiling. Love that book, can't use most of the advice within it (I'm a hardgainer) but I stumbled upon this in the contest diet section -
Basically it said something to the effect of "if you are aiming for 2000 calories per day, you shouldn't actually get 2000. You should get 1500, then 2500, etc so after a few days you have an AVERAGE of 2000 calories a day. Doing this will afford you more fat loss on your low days, and increased metabolism on your high days.
What do you guys think?
