Where was it? What did you do?

I always loved going to Maui. I'm trying to plan out the honeymoon and was wondering what you guys did and where you went?

places are booking up and we both want to get out of the country?

Any thoughts on Dominican Republic, Jamaica, etc?

P.S. Bora Bora is out of my budget, I wiish!

I loved the Dominican. The beach our hotel was on was great, and the price of the room (which was affordable) included all the meals, alcohol, food in the cabanas by the pool, etc. It was awesome.

My favorite place I've ever been though is Italy.

And the place I'm dying to go most is Socotra (small island off Yemen). Google Image it.

I enjoy anywhere in the Caribbean. We went to St. Lucia on our honeymoon and stayed at one of the Sandals resorts. If you go to a sandals resort, the extra money for a butler was really worth it. He was pretty clutch, taking care of pretty much everything while we enjoyed our time.

George Town in the Cayman Islands is probably the nicest city I've been to in the Caribbean though, if that matters to you.

Hosserino if you are gonna pick between those two then its the dominican republic over Jamaica in a heartbeat, not even close.. friendlier people, less crime, cheaper, less people, better food (spanish vs. british influence) and more things to do. I have a flat over there i bought last year for dirt cheap, i'm going there for a month and spending the whole time fucking, working out, juicing, and eating.

A bed and breakfast in New Mexico. I thought New Mexico had breathtaking blue skies (every single day!) with the most awesome sunsets. I have also been to Montreal, which was a fun time, too. Cool nightclubs, and such.

Really cool story that's great!

Pics of your bewbs or you're lying

Beaches all inclusive resort at Turks and Caicos that place was exceptional. From the quality of the food the 15 restaurants, all the top shelf booze you can drink, and just an amazing number of happy people.

I've LOVED two vacations in my life. I defined "LOVED" as "try to find a way to go back here and stay for a month at a time". One was in a resort near Cancun. The other was in Maui. I've been to Europe and to the Caribbean Islands, but I find that they didn't compare to those two places. If I had to pick one of the two, then I would pick Maui.

Really depends on what you and your better half are looking for.. Japan, awesome night life. Florida keys a bit humid but to many people for new. Spain in the summer was great and beautiful I love watching the sunset in the at as Atlantic. I was raised on the west coast. Black forest in Germany was my second honeymoon and I'd do it again. Italy honestly was depressing for me I'm second gen American and that place is nasty dirty remind of some shitty ghetto. France was nice outside of Paris. Haven't been yet but one of my professors speaks very highly of Greece. That's my two cents

- Italy is great
- Switzerland is great
- France (fuck the French, though) is great
- DR is great (if you pick the right resort)
- CR is great (if you pick the right resort)
- Even Mexico can be great
- Brazil is great
- Australia is great (go to Melbourne, Sidney is weird)

I'm going to Turks & Cacous in 2-3 weeks, but my favorite vacation is a stay-cation. I took Thursday/Friday off and it has taken me until this afternoon to even get into a weekend mood. Ideally, I'd like to be a hermit for 2-3 weeks.

You been in CR? If yes, what area?

Fuck off

I spent a month there in February of 2006. Did a week at the beach and a week in the mountains.

I'm trying like hell to remember the city names. They weren't the tourist locations -- we went native.

But my history with CR goes back much farther than that. We've been in the free trade zone in San Jose since around 1993. They're great people and we plan on being there for a very long time.

Arthrocare ring a bell?

I've not been to many places (HUGE fear of flying- though I am getting my ass on a plane in 2 weeks...argh), but I would have to say a trip I took to Banff where I rode horses in the rockies and swam in the hot springs. Truly awesome

perfect vacation would be me, blueta, a nice ocean front hotel room (somewhere tropical) with a private jacuzzi and balcony, and lots of fresh vegan food (soy free)

2 more weeks baby! can't wait

ahhh, sounds so nice!

2 more weeks what?

thanks....I actually would not wear flips with this dress, but a nice flat sandal, but yeah I live in flips.
Cindy, there is a Jones of New York outlet near me and every few months they have these crazy sales. All dresses were $20 for that one day. I got 3 of them :-)

wow, love the new avi! GORGEOUS!

Yeah they were really nice. I would never have thought to buy dresses like that, but my Mom convinced me. I have a lunch thingy at my Dad's snooty golf club so my Mom wants to see me in a fancy dress so I tried one on for her and really liked it, so got 3 ;-)

They had sort of a "pretty woman" feel too them. You could definitely wear them to a golf club.

I've been to Cyprus. It was full of greased-up Mediterranean types. Does that count?

lol lovely

I want to plan a vacation for me...instead of sending my son everywhere....Greece was the first place that came to mind.

I rarely wear heels anymore since I stopped working corporate. I live in flips and dresses now

here's one of the dresses I just bought last week. Ann Klein black label from $325 to $20...discount baby!

wow I like. make sure you bring that dress on the trip

When I work on my fear of flying, I would love to go to Greece and Italy.

Actually, I drove to Philly in 2005 and had the time of my life as well. City was cool

I thought we were going to Jamaica? for some 420 fun?

lol....I'm in Canada...where I live and further west is known for the 420 goodness.

On a holiday?
The reason I ask is because I've been there twice for work.

Yes, I went to college with a guy whose family was from Cyprus. A couple of us weaseled our way into a vacation at his mom's house when he went home for the holidays.

Summer after the 8th grade, we went to Six Flags Over Texas and the Hemisfair '68 in San Antonio.

I remember one time when I was a pre-schooler we went to the Will Rogers museum in Claremore OK, and also to the Oklahoma Salt Flats.

For years I thought we had been to Utah.

Hawaii and Thailand. Both really different experiences. In Hawaii my friends girlfriend was Hawaiian so she took us to all the local places so no tourist crap. Slept on the beach almost every night.

Thailand was amazing too and the people were great. Money went so far because the 33:1 exchange rate. Spend most of the time in the Gulf of Thailand on the islands. Would love to go to New Zealand next.

Thanks bro'! Yeah they have a crazy underground scene. You would dig it the most. They have a lot of crazy shit that your kind would love. Check it out one day.

I was born and raised in Maui and there's absolutely nowhere secret there that only the locals know about. It's all one big tourist trap.

I've only been to the big island. She always took us to small beaches with not many people. Her friends would come and build a fire and we would sleep on the beach. When we went spear fishing I never saw many people either. Of course she took me to North Shore and to some big rock for diving that had 100's of people. That and luaus were the only times I felt like it was "touristy".

I really want to go to one of the smaller less crowded islands next. You go for work or vacation? I said big island but I meant the one Honolulu is on. I forget all the names. I could never live there because I can't pronounce the road names or towns. Haha

I'm headed to Turks and Caicos this Saturday for our annual company awards trip. I missed hosting it last year, because we had the twins.

Turks is a blast. I am going to take my girls there this new year. Yes no woman going with.

I say you should snow ski there.

the road trip me and my wife did last year was fucking sweet, colorado, grand tetons, yellowstone, mt rushmore

I love going to the British Virgin Islands. It's very beautiful and peaceful there. My favorite island there is Anegada. Jimmy Buffet even sings a song about that island too.
