When your daughter feels shitty from the shots she got at the doc and wakes up at 2:00 a.m. and cries until 6:00 a.m. and there's nothing you can do to make her comfortable or feel better and she just lies there fussing and crying and you can't sleep because you hear her pain and you have to be at work at 8:00 and it makes you type a long fucking run-on sentence.

Amen brother. I too come from many a day of sleepwalking through weeks at a time and realizing a month or a seaon has passed. LOL.

She's never cried the way she did when she got those shots. It took me a good 15 minutes to get her to calm down and then she'd start right back up. She sounded terrified.

Feel you times 4. Is this the one where she got shots in both arms and her leg? I was really awfull I suppose because I would get their ears pierced at the same visit - I think it was 2month but it was 12 years ago so I don't remember honestly.

One thing that always helped my son when he was younger was this lil bear thingy that when you turned it on would sound like the mothers heartbeat from inside the womb..That thing would always calm him down, can't remember what they're called though.

It was her 4 month checkup and she got 2 shots in her thigh. She was already uncomfortable and wound up because the doc said she had a bit of wax buildup in her one ear and he used some little plastic scraper to get it out. That got her screaming but I was able to get her calmed down after a bit. Last night just sucked because I could just tell how uncomfortable she was and I couldn't do a thing.

Tell you what, it really tests your patience. I had to go upstairs for a bit and just breathe I was getting so frustrated. I hate not being able to just fix everything.
