would sure get the ratings too bad it wont happen, its st louis vs either the a's or bo sox, if the bo sox get in the cards win in 5, if its the a's its a toss up, hammy has never been wrong in a sports prediction yet, call your bookie

The A's?? They are the biggest choke artist's in the playoffs before the BoSox!!!
Whats the bet that you are wrong??

Ratings?

MLB doesn't get those anymore, they only get air time due to sponsorship. They rate worse than an hour of the Cosby Show.

example of wont be - lefty was one of the biggest choke artists ever, hammy said he would win the masters in jan. lefty reads this and makes a 20 footer on 18 to win by one, hammy tells all that will listen in december that the bolts will win the cup, the canadian crew here all laughs at hammy, until the hart trophy winner martin st louis lifts the cup, hammys record speaks for itself

The Dodgers and the Cards have two series coming up in the next two weeks, they should be interesting as it will not only show how well (or bad) the Dodgers will do in the playoffs but I beleive it is also a glimpse at the NLCS. The Yanks are the Dodgers WS nemesis, so it would be a great matchup, however a Dodgers vs. A's rematch, or Dodgers vs. Angels freeway series would be equally exciting (to Dodger fans atleast).

wrong!!! MLB ratings are way up in the last couple of years (more homeruns, interleague play, wild card system, etc...). They are now even talking about a world cup of baseball every 4 years.

The A's have a very low budget and very little fan support. This forces management to trade players once they attain good market value for low paid, promising palyers and restructure the team every year. If you consider what they are able to do, year after year, with new players (often minor league call ups) they should be touted as a success. Every year the A's are not supposed to be in the playoffs, but every year they seem to be there. The Yankees have to spend triple, if not more, the A's payroll to make it to playoffs.

I agree with St. Louis. I also think it does not matter who comes out of the AL. The Cardinals are too strong.

the Cards offense is fucking unbeleivabale, however their pitching is what needs to be proven in this last stretch and in the playoffs
