XP 45 Springfield

I am not a big Glock fan personally, but I have an XD-45 and an XD-40. Now I have always prefered the feel of a 1911 but I have to admit I love this weapon. I shot about 200 rounds through the 45 today and it is dead on accurate, weighs only 2 oz. more than the 40 and is only slightly larger. The overall length is about 1/4" greater and the grip is slightly longer. However, the grip size, except for the length is identical.Fairly impressive considering the 45 carries one more round than the 40.
Another benefit is the striker status indicator which allows you to visually or manually check the status of the weapon as well as the loaded chamber indicator.
The recoil is minimal compared to my 1911. So much so that my girlfriend, who weighs all of 95lbs. is trading in her S&W .40 for an XD-45 next week.
ALL in all this is a great weapon and well worth the cost. $519.00 here.
Very well balanced with a full magazine, simple to break down and clean too. No hiccups in 200 rounds. Winchester 230gr. FMJs. Only one feed jam on the .40 after about 400 rounds.

The jam was due to glue from the box sticking on the casing.

I have an XD-40, definitely not my favorite gun...yes it does not jam no matter what ammo i have put in it, and its a solid weapon, but as for accuracy, when at the range it's the worst gun i own when it comes to accuracy. It "could" be me but i do not think so as two of my friends have shot it and their spreads are as wide as mine on the target. I guess i am a bit spoiled on my H&K usp45 and p2000 though
