WTF do you wear to a club these days??

OK now its my turn. I finally get a chance to go shopping for club clothes with a body I actually want to put the clothes on, except I can't figure out what people wear. Part of my problem is that I havent' been out in ages and my mindset is sort of stuck in the 2001 S. Florida rave scene. I've since discovered that the rest of the country doesn't dress like its going to South Beach, so what are my options?

It seems that its tight jeans w/ heels and a frilly little top dealie? I've got lots of the frilly little top dealies & the heels I consider part of my extensive treasure trove of shoes, but jeans. Eek. I've always hated jeans in clubs because it just gets too hot. Are there alternatives to that? Seems to be crop pants and such are the option then. Can anyone show me a "look" or some ideas? I saw some dresses & stuff that are in the mode of the frilly little tops, but they are all longer and sort of remind me of disco .. .a little too formal for me....

Any suggestions??

It depends on the club. If it's a club I know I'll be dancing at then I dress to be comfortable: Heeled shoes (2") with jeans (skirts and dancing are a bad combination) and usually a sleeveless or backless top that fits somewhat loose. If it's where I think I'll be doing a lot of standing around or sitting then I'll wear a skirt, taller heels and a tighter shirt.

That is a fantastic website seashell! I only had an hour to blow thru Dillards & Nordies today and didnt' see much that I liked. There's a bebe at a mall on my way home from work tho...! I can see me stopping in on Thurs....

Hmm, when I go out to a club I usually wear jeans, heels and a tank top or halter top or a skirt and a tank top/halter top...

LOL, me neither .... but I am not sad. Never liked the club scene. But then again, I HATE BeBe clothes. Guess I am just not meant for that kind of stuff, lol.
