I would definitely live forever if I could. Just imagine all of the long-term goals you could reach. You could make incredible amounts of money, train your mind and brain, and become the absolute best bodybuilder your genetics and chemistry will alow.

What you could accomplish with unlimited time is absolutely unreachable in a finite time period. I want a cheat.

NO I WOULD NOT WANT TO LIVE FOREVER. OLD PEOPLE ARE UGLY AND PEOPLE DONT RESPECT OLD PEOPLE. THEY HAVE DISABILITIES AND HEALTH PROBLEMS. IF I CAN LOOK GOOD AND GET YOUNG PUSSY THEN I WOULD LIKE TO LIVE LONG.

If I lived forever, I'd probably end up going to grocery stores and knocking shit off the shelves and crapping in the isle. Old people can get away with murder.

I think you guys are making the wrong assumption. If we do figure out how to extend life indefinetely, it'll be because we'll find a cure for old age. We grow old because our cells lose their ability to replicate themselves with time. Its been a long time since I've taken genetics, but I do remember my prof. talking about the whole thing. In the future we might find a way to slow or stop the aging process all together.

However, that wouldn't make us immortal. We might look like 20 year olds for thousands of years, but that won't stop us from getting cancer, clogged arteries, heart attacks and other diseases.

I'm all for eternal life though. Just think of all the wisdom a person would accumulate over the eons. You'll have time to see everything, and try everything. It beats being wormfood, thats for sure.

I want to live forever. And I think in my lifespan there will be great strides in extending, and eventually defeating the disease we now call aging. So many studies and scientic advances, it is the next step in human evolution. Life expectancy keeps going up, and shows NO sign of slowing down. It is eventually going to be possible to live to be 200 years, and I don't care how many people disagree, u were the same ones who called the world flat, and laughed at Orville and Wilbur Wright!!!

Live forever..... Why not, or at least until you poop the bed at the nursing home.

As for life after death.... come on... get real, Who really thinks this whole universe is made just for humans on this little backwater planet called earth. Life after death, Religion, God, The soul, come on people...... all these things are nothing more than masks that we use to hide our fear of death behind.

If you people really belive in god or life after death, Why not just kill yourself and go on to heaven now. You can just float around in the clouds and do nothing all day, Talk to all your loved ones that have died, Never have to work or eat again. Maybe even catch a comet to heaven. Why is it that all these regilious people dont just leave for heaven now............... Deep down inside............. They are very very very scared of death.... in fact they are so scared that they will belive in anything that keeps them living forever.

Not only do I want to live forever, I want to be young and healthy forever.

This is not my interpretation of the bible ,but the bibles interpretation of it's self. To understand Gods word a person can't let themselves be guided by false religious traditions or ideas .If your church teaches you that there is an immortal soul, you will bring such a philosophy into the bible when you read it,this would then taint your understanding of it.
If a person really want's to know the 'Truth ..that will set them free', they have to do away with all their previous misconception and allow the bible to speak for itself.
The only people truly qualified to teach the bible ,are those who live by it !Obviously , the mainline religions of this world are not in a position to do so as they regularly disregard and water down it's teachings. Many of them say as you say ,that we shouldn't take the bible literally, and this is where they fall flat !
'What does Gods word say?' not 'What do I,or my priest/pastor think ?' is the important question.
Some may say taking such verses as Genesis chapter 1 where it talks about the creation in 7 days. But if you look at Chp 2:4, you see that all the days are referred to as 1 day. Obviously the bible isn't referring to 24 hrs in this case ,but simply to a period of time
which could be any length. It is not unusual for a person to refer to his 'grandfathers day' meaning that persons entire lifetime. So ,too, the bible often uses the term 'day'to describe an extended period of time.(2 Peter 3:8)Thus the days of Genesis chapter 1 could reasonably be thousands of years in length.
This is what is meant by letting the bible interpret itself !
Take this to a religous discussion board:D
