Good work! What's with the rocking on your heels in the deadlift?
I think its just bad form on my part - going a bit off balance, I'll have to work on that. I also noticed I rock a bit on the Cleans as well, I think it kinda gives a greater ROM and prestretch with the calves

you didnt hold very long, although im just an amatuer.. the others i have seen have a longer lock, just curious is thats necessary or not.. or benificial?
T
I suppose if your doing it as part of training then yeah holding it would be good. I don't do deadlifts as part or my training, I just max out once every 1-2months to see how my organism strength is going. I will hold the lockout longer then next time I attmept a new PR. My grip was slipping a bit so, that was one reason why I didn't hang on too long

Gotta hit the static holds and Power rack chins

coolcolj. what does the jumping on the cleans do for you? are you suppost to do that during cleans always?
Well remeber I'm training for explosiveness and VJ, so yeah that's why I jump. Though the heavier the weight the less jump there is, even though I'm always trying to jump hard. I think you should jump its the only way to transmit maximal explosion to the bar. Although its not quite the same type of jump as a all out VJ, kinda more controlled. But its still a very quad and hip orientated lift.
I suppose you would call it a Jump Power Clean, and ditto for the Jump hang snatch etc. The next time 'm back at the gym I'll cap some of my other Olympic lifts.
Don't you just love the clatter of those 45lb plates?
