Woohoo...not gonna be a SHW afterall

I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this, and I'd like some feedback, but I was taking naproxen sodium (Alieve) for a few days for some allergy symptoms, and I ballooned up to 213 pounds of bloat...crazy blood pressure. This was just over the weekend when I blew my eye. I'm starting to think that wouldn't have happened if I wasn't taking the Alieve.

I am back down to 198 as of today. I still look just as fat, but I weigh less. lol

You're not kidding. I can go from 195-205 just by looking in the fridge. I have never understood why I hold so much water, but it's almost impressive how bloated I can get. lol
 
I hold water like crazy too. I think my body may be super sensitive to certain foods, like pasta for instance. If I eat a bunch of spaghetti over the weekend, I go in to the gym Tuesday and I've gained like 7 pounds. Unbelievable.
 
Exactly! If I put anything foreign in me (get your mind out of the gutter) like Tylenol, IbP, otc meds, scrip meds, slef-prescribed meds ;) , etc...I just blow up. Same with foods. Almost any carb translates to about 5 pounds of water...per serving. Someone suggested that I had an electrolyte imbalance. I don't know about that. I know that at competition time, my joints are pretty glad I'm part camel.

I'm the same way. I can and do gain over 10lbs from morning to night.

I kinda wish I wasn't like that though. :(

My mom is the same way. She was on the atkins diet and lost a bunch of weight. Then she ate normally for 1-2 weeks and gained like 17 lbs!!! Crazy.
 
Wow...glad it's not just me. Have you guys noticed that it's not always just Sub-Q? Sometimes it's just IM bloat that you can't get off? Like people that use creatine? I cut the carbs, took a water pill, and dropped the Alieve to get back to 198, and I'm still holding a lot, it's just not on the surface.

Ok, some is... ;)

I took some pics today, and I still look pretty puffy. Not that it much matters for powerlifting. lol
