woohoo! Another PR!

Today I did box squats and arched back straight-legged GMs for max effort exercises.

I did box squats first, no PR there, 60kg - flexibility may be a problem here.

But then I did GMs and lifted 80kg!!! (178lbs). Me happy! First time I've lifted more than my bw.

I've got the hang of the swing inwards of the hips for the GM now - makes a HUGE difference when I get that right.

Now, to deal with forward lean on the squats... manufacturing my own box (jig aw and sandpaper ahoy this weekend!) as the aerobic step hanging around the gym isn't really the right size.... (too high or too low)...

still, me very happy!

makedah - I mean that I imagine I am a) pulling my back up b) swinging my hips back IN (as I lean them back, legs straight, going down, like for a DL but no leg bend at all much). I imagine that I am "straightening" my body - pulling both back and hips to upright from both directions.

so on the way down, I puhs my butt back, and swing it foward on the way up, like for a deadlift.

Seems to get the glutes and hams involved quite nicely. It's not a really a dynamic movt like in a clean as it's not as fast but similar I find. Dunno if I'm decribing this correctly.

Great work! Good for you!

Keep it up! :)
