We are tribal, pack animals at heart, controlled by our instincts in many areas.

Read the Old Testament. Not much has changed in over 6,000 years.

I'm guessing many millenia. There will always be differences & "otherism", & that's good. But until we can get the masses to accept people for what they are, & get the different peoples to accept that there will be other people better than them, there will always be hatred/envy of others.
