Why shouldn't new lifters use steroids?

Consider the growth of muscle tissue vs tendons/ligaments. If you start a steroid cycle without a muscle base, there's a 100% chance you're going to injure yourself because of the rapid strength increase. A lifter who is closer to their genetic potential has built up his strength, muscle and other soft tissues over a length of time and is less likely to suffer a crippling injury. This is a no brainer...

Comparing someone with a wasting disease on roids to a bodybuilder on roids isn't even comparable. I doubt someone with full blown AIDS or the guy wasting away in a wheelchair is going to be squating 5 plates. Steroids are a necessity for them and they'd be lucky if their strength was even at par when using them. A bodybuilder on the other hand is pushing their body past it's furthest limits and needs the proper support around their joints or else permanent damage will occur. Lastly, you're cheating yourself out of future gains by not building a full base.

You would think this ^^^^ would be fucking common sense.

It takes quite a while to get tendons, ligaments ect prepared and conditioned to take a heavy regular beating without steroids.
Not to mention the question wreaks of looking for the drugs to do all the work for you.
Anyone who is new doesn't have a fucking clue how to diet for various goals. Or had any experience with different training styles to know what works for them or how to switch things up properly ect.

also to add to whats been said (injuries are the physical problem)

you also have to consider the morality of it. it is insulting to those of us who have been in the game for decades to have some 18 year old kid jump on juice without putting in the sweat, pain and blood and cop the way out. back in the old days at gyms they would laugh at you in the middle of the gym or even worse beat your ass if they found out you were taking steroids before putting in the time

Thanks for the input guys.

It seems like most of the conclusion is going to be that AAS on a new beginner they are going to rapidly outgain their tendons/ligaments and basically ensure injury. And connective tissue injuries basically can nag you an entire career. This seems like a very reasonable biological answer as to why you require a strong base before juicing.

Adding in the psychological problems a few people mentioned of getting used to AAS making natty lifting more difficult, losing the pride of natty lifting, and possibly AAS with a low base doing extra damage to the hormonal systems long-term.

Seems like some solid answers, many thanks guys.

^^^ 100% chance, not 99% chance that someone without proper muscle conditioning will injure themselves.

have you ever seen a 20 year old who has been lifting 2 years what their muscles look like compared to a 30 year old who has been doing it 10 years? you can tell whose muscles are raw and new vs. the ones that are conditioned

Take from the beggining and I guarentee you gonna have muscle and strengh imbalances all over the shop your body is gonna look bigger on one side for sure just my opinion !
