Why is steroid use a felony?

For instance they invented Methadone for Heroin Addicts, where as Methadone is more addictive then Heroin, and its given to addicts who wish to come off of Heroin.... but guess who distributes it? The government. They want you on THERE drugs, so THEY make $$, this is just a small small example. Much much much more is going on..

One of the most popuar analgetics is methadone, which was found in Germany by the time of World War II. Herman Georing, a drug addict, was the "inspirer" of the research for new synthetic opiates. He was afraid that he soon would not be able to find any morphine, because it wasn't prepared in Germany. The German chemists invented methadone, which was not only stronger than morphine, but also had a much longer effect.[/QUOTE]

It is also more addictive than heroin, and easier to overdose on.

The methadone program is really a ridiculous example of the 'moral' views of a few people in government making really bad decisions.

Heroin, is highly addictive, however, it does no long term damage.

Using dirty needles or non-medical grade heroin does have a medical risk.

The UK did not have a heroin problem in the 1970s, there were approximately 500 registered addicts, and they were prescribed medical grade heroin.

The moral outcry to hear that 'junkies' were given drugs, both in the UK and in the US, changed policy to the methadone program.

There are now over 500, 000 registered addicts in the UK.

The easiest way to make money for heroin and to ensure a regular supply, if it is illegal, is to sell it.

If all 500 registered addicts started to sell, and they hooked two friends on it and they hooked two friends on it....................

Similar programs are being started again in the UK, prescribing heroin. And it is working, crime and addiction rates are dropping in areas that these programs are piloted.

now in light of my uderage use of Steroids, and going through some emotional ups and downs, and sides experienced due to my lack of knowledge and my overuse, i can say that steroids IMHO should be controlled, and distributed to healthy men and women ove the age of 21, educated on the science of their use, and cleared by a medical physician, at there will and personal discretion. being an athlete myslef and training athletes i also belive that substance use in sport should be maintained. meaning maybe enorcing a legal limit or amount of use, especially since we all know sterods will be a factor in professional sports for the rest of mankind.

I would have to agree that a lot of the issues and 'witch hunt' right now is a result of

1. The moral majority

2. People looking for a 'quick fix' to their physiques

3. Those that do want a 'quick fix' who use incorrectly and irresponsibly

Joe Biden.

Big Pharm doesn't really care as the patents are long expired on most A AS and generics would just undercut their profits. Sure, they can sell $2000 An adr ol to sick little kids but the HRT market just isn't profitable enough or they would have lobbied to have the laws changed.

The Witch Hunt is media driven, pandering to the fat-ass cheeto's eating sports fans who get high and mighty over the 'cheaters' in sport and scaring Soccer moms into thinking their kids might be using the drugs that made Benoit a Crazed Killer. Rationality doesnt even enter into it

Even those that want a 'quick fix' you could say that about most everything in our "I want it now" society, but most aren't outlawed. Anything that involves the government protecting me from myself is not only irritating but (from an objectivist point of view) immoral.

LOL I met this cunt online the other night that was flipping me shit for using anabolic androgenic steroids. I asked her if she was on the pill. She said yes. So I told her she was a juicer too. She said even if I was right about estrogenics, she had a legit medical use for using bcp. I said like what??? Recreational sex w/o risk of procreation??? How is that any better than using AS to improve one's appearance??? She blocked me after that one. lol

This is something that a lot of people don't even think about. Women are able to supplement their hormones and no one gives it even a second thought.

The truth of the matter is that society has an obsession with "fairness." Testosterone is associated with being "unfair."

Good point... and think of all the dangerous crap people do with plastic surgery in the name of looking good. Kanye West's mother died due to plastic surgery a few months back. But if we want to take hormones to assist in us accomplishing what we feel makes us look/feel better we are being drug abusers? F*** that.

well its not really 100% about the money. the majority of people in the us are average joes that dont wanna reasearch shit, and then proceed to make hasty decisions out of ignorance, which starts a chain effect and more people start making hasty decisions out of ignorance, until the entire voting population wants steroids illegal just because.

70+ years ago, if an athlete used steroids, then yes, he would be cheating, because none of his competitiors had that same edge. today, if an athlete doesn't use steroids hes cheating himself. but everyone believes cheating is unfair, and anyone in the government they see to condone "cheating' will lose their vote. now i agree, cheating is unfair but taking aas shouldn't be cheating when then vast majority of the competition uses them.

but aside from the cheating point, there is certainly nothing wrong with responsible steroid use in adult males for personal use. the health risks pale in comparison to the health risks associated with drinking/smoking/etc. and i admit that i both drink and smoke, wish i would quit, but thats for another discussion.

bottom line, the people in charge want votes, for the obvious reasons, and pissing off the majority is a bad way to get votes. but you see they play it very smoothly. they pretend to watch out for minorities and the little guy, but in reality these two sets of people are in the majority. Everyone wants free money, and every time they build a house for someone who doesn't pay taxes, that free money they give earns them an exponential vote.

i know im rambling and its time to stop, but everyone should stop wanting free shit, and start wanting to earn what they have. its really not that hard to find a decent job as long as you're a healthy adult. if you truly cant find a job, then i feel for you, but its been my experience that everyone can work, they just gotta get off their ass and do it. no job is beneath your dignity. once this happens this country might be a better place, and perhaps friendlier place for aa use. who knows.
