I look very flat about 2-3 hours after a workout after my pump wears off. Also when I am on a low carb diet.I actually look the biggest when I haven't worked out for a few days, maybe it has something to do with recovery?
caffine, potassium/sodium levels, blood sugar levels, alcohol ingestion, levels, not wearing your prescription glasses, mirrors that are concave, working out with 1 gram of test a weak freaks.
it's all about the water and carbs. 1 gram of muscle holds approximately 2.2 grams of water. when your muscles are carb depleted you're losing not only the carbs, but also a lot of water as well. without glycogen in your muscles your muscles can't store the water to make them look "full." this interstitial water should be distinguished from the subcutaneous water (under the skin) that makes you look bloated. water in the muscles makes you look full and the way to store this water is with glycogen (carbs).
yeah, look at yourself in the morning w/ nothing in you basically.......then again at night when you have drank water and eaten carbs all day. or of course after working out and drinking tons of water during. i find it to be a vast difference. and when you go 6 days with minimal carbs.......then go on high carbs on day 7....talk about full muscles. i use shitloads of R-ALA also on the pigout day, so i am sure that helps.
