Just how advanced is it really to build one? I would think it would be in the grasp of most engineers, but maybe Im wrong.

I agree, we're looking at Russia/China on that one, possibly the French, who have ties to the Iranian Air Force as well. This was a sophisticated attack for a bunch of normally bumbling disorganized "freedom fighters".

you have to figure you need:

-guidance/tv system for semi precision
-limited altitude/attitude feedback (maybe)
-actuators to control throttle, pitch, roll, yaw

You also have to approach on an angle blindsiding the CIWS mount forward if this is a SAAR5 corvette, which is the only class ship the Israelis have with a complement of around 80 crewmen.

The UK times is reporting that hezbollah has been developing drones for two years. Hezbollah is also reported to have eight Mohajer-4 drones supplied by Iran.
