Why Doesn't Mexico Have Steroid Problems?

I had a post a while back about if you wanted steroids to be legal or not. Well some people said dumbasses here would od and make them illegal again in no time.

That made sense but in Mexico they can get steroids legally and you don't hear about a bunch of problems with dumbasses od on them.

So why do you think they would here? I mean we are smarter as a nation than Mexico is. Especially with the net when answers are so readily available to keep from misusing the the juice.

I've wondered the same thing bro. Only thing I can think of is they are too poor to buy them. You would think the Mexicans would be getting huge off that shit, I know if I lived there I would be.

The same can be said about alcohol, in almost any country you can be any age and buy alcohold they dont make a big deal about it like we do in the US. You never hear about all the other countries having huge alcolism problems, if anything its worse in the US. I think by making a substance illigal you are making it more exiting or apealing to use. What are you talking about? I think the way th canadian gov't taking care of the whole ephedrine thing is acceptable. We can buy ephedrine as long as it's not in a fat loss product.

Can you imagine a big fat 300 lb lazy ass house wife taking something like xenadrine because it says for fat loss on the label? Her heart would shot out of her chest.

It all has to do witht her culture. The culture in Mexico is very weary of pharmaceuticals in general. They believe in old fashioned herbal tribal indian healer stuff as being superior to mdern western medicinde and all the chemicals it has under its belt. They think things that are not natural are bad for the body and throw it off balance. ITs kinda true, but only kinda.

The culture is not into looks as much as other countries. The natural slim look is more popular. In america everyone on tv has a great body and is in excellent shape, so people feel they should look this way.

I completely agree with the last post.
I was born in Europe and moved here in 1989 and I can tell you there is a huge difference in the way people interact. Society is so much more close nit there. Strangers approch each other all the time to talk guys/girls etc because everyone is using means of mass transport. I have a girlfriend and a great group of dudes to hang out and lift with but I can tell you that it took SOO much more time to find these people than it would take in any European City or Brazilian (lived there for a while too).
I think to a large degree that transmutes to how people perceive themselves. TV here is so much more prevalent (300+ channels in some areas compares to single digits in most European Countris). Guys feel like they have to actually put on a "game" and have "pickup lines" to a large extend. Not saying everyone but I know a bunch of my friends do too. Same perhaps with gear. I think most of the hard workers in here do it for themselves but there is a large majority that are mainly concerned about attracting women (first and foremost). Be it wrong or right....it shouldn't be that way. Mexico and Brazil (especially Rio de Janeiro) are so much more liberal and easygoing....perhaps that is why guys don't really care about doing roids other than to further professional sporting careers or personal fitness goals.

Just my 2 cents.

In general, the 'IQ' of people in all countries is similar. It's all about education. Most would admit that the public education system in the US is better than Mexico.... but that does NOT make us smarter!
Also, part of our education is from our culture and thiers is different from ours.

-The era of Dorian's freakiness hasn't come here yet, our heavyest MR MEXICO ever, weighted at 220 lbs.

-It's has also to do with the fact that when you make something illegal it will be more appealing. Cigarretes in the States are legal, and you know they are bad for your health so you are responsible for YOURSELF, thats why you won't see those many people smoking, thats what happens over here with steroids you can get them to easy and so you don't have to rush and buy a shit load of them.

IGNORANCE: People over here aren't messed with steroids because it's something unknown, they don't know how much to use, they don't really know how they work. Let me tell you that your average bodybuilder here will be freaked and all scared when he starts doing 200mg of PRIMOBOLAN/week when preparing for a meet.

POVERTY is not an issue people. It's not like you'll see people starving and dying on the streets, we can afford them if we want. REMBEMBER that here beer is as cheap as steroids and they all here are a bunch of alcohol-abusers and they afford it.

Better informed is right. Also take into consideration the top sport in Mexico (and most other places on the PLANET for that matter)- SOCCER (Football) whereas in the US "American "Football" is the most (or close with baseball) as the most popular sport. Size and strength isnt important for soccer as is for american football.

The problem with Mexicans is their socialist, counterproductive and completely corrupt government. The Mexican populist if given equal incentive assimilate and achieve as much as any other ethnic or social group.
