I get all ready and workout and get myself going and then i get sick and not just a little bitsy cold, sick that i'm out of commission for a week at a time - this has happened 3 times in the past 5 weeks...can someone please explain why i'm always getting sick when others around me are healthy? (And i don't smoke or do drugs or anything like that which would hurt my immune system).....ANY ADVICE???

Do you work around lots of other people or kids who can carry in whatever is the cold du jour? I find I have sinus problems when there's a big temperature change. And just in general, 'tis the season.

Even if you can't train, make sure to drink LOTS of water & eat clean.

Do you have mono? Just a thought... Depends on the sickness... symptoms....
\\I've never had mono - so i have no idea if i have it - all i know is i keep getting sick and i'm always tired....i figured the always being tired is from being sick and body needs rest- i don't even have health insurance so i can't go to the doc to find out this sucks!

When you do get up and started, how do you train? Very intensely from the get-go? How much time do you spend in the gym when you go? If you are doing lots of exertion sporadically (e.g. between gettign sick) the whole process may be wearing your body down and making you more susceptible to whatever bug is floating around.

Shadow is most likely right... but that happened to me for awhile my senior year in High school and I went to the doctor and found out I actually had mono. Just feel totally wiped out, and your head feels clogged, and like a train hit you. It is connected with flu-like symptoms.

yep.....if there is another underlying reason..the training will find it
