Why Does MTV care so much about voting?

That is the thing. They are voting just to vote. Don't you think as Americans they should be at least a little informed on why they are voting for who other that some stupid singer telling them they should vote for them?

Ah, but those drug using kids still deserve representation. If over 50% of the population believes that certain drugs should be legalized, yet they remain illegal, is that truely a democracy? Or does the government and an elite minor really know what is best for everyone in this one instance?

I'm certainly tired of my tax dollars being wasted inforcing the war on drugs, imprisonment of someone for selling weed (when more dangerous drugs such as alcohol and cigarettes are legal), when this compound could be creating jobs for American farmers and purchase could be taxed to help pay for better education and healthcare.

1. John Kerry has been in the Senate 20 years, he's not going to end the war on drugs but the advertisement sure made it sound that way.

2. They are not taking even a remotely balanced approach. They are not doing documentaries on the pros vs. cons of higher taxes, or John Kerry's senate record... it's a pure partisan move, MTV is pulling for Kerry like every other mindless hollywood fluff crowd democrat. I hope someone calls the FCC and files a complaint. I think I might.
