why did i have to change names

i have been a non platnum member of this board for 5 yrs under the name freakazoid.my computer was down for 3 or 4 weeks and when i tried to log back on under freakazoid it said that because i have not loged on for 3 weeks i had to get a platnum membership.what a crock,now i lost all my post counts,pm s and all.

Me too. I was hospitalized after a violent attack and now have to start all over. It sucks especially since i was mugged and almost died- thats bad enough.

PM EF Anton. I think this would be the best option before griping about problems on the board. I have been guily of this before myself, but trying to resolve things privately has never yet failed me and I have felt pretty dumb griping about it first.

sorry about the vent,just being a member for like 5 yrs then have to change names.i just dont want to have trust issues with bros over the name change.i have sent a couple pm s so i hope my old friend radar can bail me out

I had to change my name because I don't have any money to renew my latinum account right now. When I do I think I'll try to get my old handle back though.

i think you can keep a non platnum account indefinately but if for some reason you dont log on for a period of 3 weeks? your account becomes inactive and you have to become platnum to activate your acct.i managed to stay active for almost 5 yrs but unfortinately my pc was down for a month or so.i am working with radar now trying to get my acct. active again,and get my screen name back.

yea they do that because of the volume of people who register and then never visit the board I would suppose. It just takes up space but you were around for a long time so I'm sure an email to a mod would get you back online. I wonder if they will be-platinumize my account lol so I can have my name back.

i would think if you pay to become platnum they would reinstate your old account, but not sure
