Who's had success with 60/20/20 diet?

It definately wouldn't work for me. I would ballon up like the pillsbury doughboy. I tried a 60% carb diet once, and wow did I pack on the bodyfat. I didn't gain any muscle or strength though, so it was not even a fair trade off. I would personally recomend against such a diet, not becuase of the high carb intake, but because one will not produce optimal levels of anabolic hormones due to the low fat intake. Also, unless one is eating very high calories, the protien might be inadequite for optimal lbm gains.

High Intensity Training -- bodybuilders. I'm on a low carb bulk now, havent started HIT, but I think I might be missing out on growth.

well in my early days where you'd erad up on how you should eat tonnes of carbs to fuel your active lifestly and such, i did manage to lose weight and gain muscle on a 60/20/20 but knowing what i know now about carbs etc, keeping carbs to about 40% of my daily cals (roughly 170g) i'm managing to maintain 8% bodyfat and have good abs

So your diet is like 40/40/20 or what?

It seems most diets keep protein around 30-35 tops, supposedly higher lowers T levels.. don't know if that's true though.

Does anyone know the type of diet Arthur Jones advocated? I'm gonna give his original HIT ideas a try + superslow (10/10 tut), so rather than low carb bulking I might give a moderate carb diet a try. Probably will stick with low carb, but you never know..
