Yep, I listen to the Drum and the Bass! My gym plays this soft radio shite (celine dion *cough*). How's anyone supposed to work out to that. I need some pump-up music.
There was some research I read about in which people listening to music trained with more intensity. I'll try to find it and post it up.

I to only use the headphones when the lifting partner isn't there. I have a cd burner so I make lifting cds with:
Pantera, Deftones, Slipknot, Soulfly, Mudvayne and Kittie to name just a few.
