who is nelson montana...?

pretty interesting that he states he eats whatever he wants and maintains a low bf% without cardio and yet he says he his genetics are nothing special...that to me is special genetics ....there are not many people who are happy with their physique and eat whatever they....god knows i want a big fuckin cheese calzone right now but cant have it if i want to look in shape!

"Mullethead?" I guess I deserve that. But cut me some slack bro. It was 1989. What kind of doo were you sprouting back then? :) The "About Nelson" file has a recent pic.

Anyone who thinks that size equates to knowledge is simply confused and has some maturing to do. Hey, I've been over 200 pounds and frankly, I don't like it. I look better and feel better at a lighter weight.
Any moron can tell you to take 4 A-bombs a day and you'll grow. That's not what I do.

I may not look like a pro, but at least I walk the walk. I went from a soft scrawny runt to becoming a body model in my 40's. I've seen a lot of "experts" (especially diet gurus) who were much younger who look like day old dog shit on stale bread.

i agree with you nelson...too many people around that pop 4 drols and 1500mg test weekly and to boot gotta bridge with dbol?!?!?! and just take up a bunch of bloated space.... what happened to the mentzer physique in todays sport of BB

You asked for it. But I'm feeling a little surly today.

It isn't good form to speak about oneself, so I'll just present an opinion of some of the members of Elite who have issues with Nelson.

Nelson Montana is a guy with terrible genetics who as a 37 year old adult put on 25 pounds of muscle, drug free, with methods that he developed. And he also managed to add an additional 25 pounds with anabolics which he kept many years after his last cycle. Yet he can't know very much about training because he still isn't over 250 pounds.

Nelson is someone who has been involved in bodybuilding since seeing Arnold Swartzenegger at the Academy of Music in 1969, but he has little perspective of the sport.

Nelson is the author of "Steroids For Health" which gained acclaim as a revolutionary concept for the safe use of anabolics. The concepts were praised by men such as Dan Duchaine, yet they fail to impress some Elite members because they take far greater doses, so therefore they know more.

Nelson Montana is someone who has written over 300 articles. For some strange reason he has been able to fool all the editors of national magazines into publishing them.

Nelson has written ad copy, studied advertising and worked for a supplement company for 2 years yet he has no clue as to what he's talking about when it comes to supplements or supplement hype.

Nelson has the endorsement of men like Dave Draper and Eric Serrano and Dennis Weis, but that is meaningless because Bulldog needs more proof.

Nelson has helped hundreds of people obtain their goals when alll else failed. Unfortunately, all of those people will have to keep their gains up because some people who never read his book insist that those methods can't possibly work.

Nelson is a guy who prefers a healthy aesthetic body to that of a bloated lump so he can't be really hardcore.

Nelson believes that bodybuilding should be the betterment of oneself and not the quest to simply take up more space, so he must be a wuss.

Nelson is a guy who loves to learn, debate, and discuss, many things, including bodybuildng and appreciates the chance to share his thoughts and contrarian views with the members of this board.

And if I piss a few people off along the way, that's okay too.

Nelson what did you weigh when you started bodybuilding? From recent pics that I've seen of you, you only go about a buck-fifty now. I'm unsure why you posted your resume, are you looking for work? It must be a bitch to be unemployed at times such as these. Even Mickey D is cutting jobs. Well good luck in your quest for employment. Give Manpower a shot.:)

Question ,who would really be big if Steroids were'nt invented ?? I'll bet half the people here would be tring to get over 150# or 200# with out them ,having low body fat too. Think about it!

Montana is simply a guy that managed to network himself a name. He takes known training concepts and puts them on this site claiming they are some brilliant epiphany of his own. That makes him a fraud.

He has an average level of knowledge in this sport. The only thing he is good at is writing. With this writing skill, he takes his average knowledge and creates the illusion that he is an innovator with all sorts of profound information. Bullshit.

Nelson is just another member of the boards who has, by sparking some controversy, managed to develop a reputation.

Nelson claims to have been friends with the great Dan Duchaine....
The only time he ever met Dan Duchaine, they sat awkwardly at a lunch forced upon Mr Duchaine and talked about COMIC BOOKS because Mr Duchaine immediately recognized Montana as having an inadequate amount of knowledge to talk about training. He knew Nelson was a joke.

The people I know within the industry who have heard of Montana think of him as simply..... "another schmuck who has managed to write some crap for some magazines"....nothing more.

I cannot believe that some people are naive enough to still hold Montana up to the level which he places himself. Open your damn eyes.

S'mores Pop-Tarts are the best!

For all those who believe weight is irrelevant, you go listen to the 180lbs footballers. If a guy competes at 200, then hes quite a good physique. But the guys spending the off season at under 200, (those on gear) aint got a good competing physique.

If you guys are sat there trying to tell me im young your right im 22. But ive come a lot further than most of you. I know what works. Im 270lbs, at between 10 and 12%BF.

And yeah, im confident any bodybuilder less than 200lbs does know less than me. Well, thats if they have trained for over three years, because thats all it took me
