I have more stuff.

my parents spoil me rotten. lol.

He has more technological stuff....... but everything else? me. I could care less about getting the latest cellphone or flatscreen or any of that crap.

I have a ridiculous shoe and handbag collection, the vintage stuff from my mommy and godmother alone is alot. lol.

But somehow he has more money then me..... oh thats right, I spend it all and I only intern while in school, I don't work. lol

I can't count money that I won't get till I'm 25 either.

WTF are you talking about victimization for? MM was only relaying her personal experiences and wondering if they were specific to her situation or if this was a gender-type thing, sorta like cars and video games being on the Y chromosome.

See, my mother, both of my mother in laws, my father, and both of my husbands have been collectors (and you don't have to have a collection to be a collector). As you can see, my experience is perfectly split. I myself am not this way. I literally can count on one hand the number of pairs of shoes I own, I own one handbag that can double as tote or overnight bag, I have four pairs of jeans, all of my makeup fits in one zip lock bag, etc.

I'm not trying to start a gender war, I thought it normal for women to be a little more "guilty" here and I was the weird one, and believed the men in my life to be aberrations.

Low cost, hardly just different priorities. I don't have numerous pairs of shoes, but we do have a $2,500 tempurpedic bed. I don't have a handbag collection, but the grocery bill for my husband and I, alone, averages over $130 a week because we eat almost exclusively organic. Our vitamin bill is over $150 every six weeks.

Well, I guess I am guilty of collecting something, I have 7 cats .. and THEIR food is top of the line too, at $36/16 lbs.!

Like I said, you always find a way to spend it

I've never been a 'stuff' person. I'm pretty frugal and the only things I have of (minimal) value are my Bealieu cameras and my '91 Blazer.

There is no way in hell a female I meet is going to have more stuff than me. I love stuff so much I consume it like food. I need new stuff on a weekly basis. I've yet to even meet a female that has more clothes than me. I probably have a good 30 shirts I've never even worn once. Hell, I don't even like shoes and I have 15-20 pairs. I live alone in a 5 bedroom house and I've filled it with all my stuff. I couldn't even move someone in if I wanted to because there is just no room.
