Who got their ass out of bed and did cardio this morning?

I just woke up to eat some peanut butter and milk. And email my best friend so she'll have something in her email box when she awakes. Does that count? You can bet she got up and is doing cardio right now:)

I did cardio this morning!!!!

I did my share of cardio this morning. I wake up every morning about five and head to the gym. Hard work pays off. Lady
 
every morning i do cardio right now, 6:00am to 6:40am i po an eca a and hit the stationary bike; btw triple v, the eca will kick in much faster if you would just start.
 
I did my cardio this morning even though it was a fucking BITCH! I hate goddamn cardio its the longest most boring shit EVER!!

Its so hard

I try to get up to do cardio but 40% of the time i cant make it. Warm bed + Cold morning = 0 cardio
I need a way to force myself to get up might have to consider getting a running partner.
 
well i did it this morning
60 minutes total on my stationery bike. i wanna see more of you tomorow morning....i have puppies and a warm bed too...and i definitely like to sleep...so come on, who will join me tomorow at 6 am for a morning sweat session....?

woek up at 430 and ran 5.5 miles. It was hell, but afterwards you feel like a million bucks. Then later on at work i feel like -million bucks. Tired as shit!!!
 
good morning all, well it's 5:19 am and getting prepared for morning cardio.
i know its hard but it gets better each day. i dont even need an alarm anymore!

BTW THe best thing to shed fat is to do your cardio first thing on an empty stomach. If you eat right and enough you shouldn't be risking your muscle otherwise.
 
Once again, people on this board are making gross generalizations. If you have an already fast metabolism, then yes am cardio will be completely devastating to your current musculature. However, if your meatbolism is inherently slow, (as is mine) then cardio on an empty stomach is quite beneficial, and does not really affect how much muscle you have. Given you do things within certain parameters.
 
before the summer started i promised myself that i would do morning cardio every day at around 7...
i woke up at around 2 every day this summer... nothing worked out. lol
 
M-F I'm up at 04:50 so I can be at the Y by 5:30...
1 Hour of cardio a day, every day.

30 min cardio warmup before the weights.
30 min of cardio after the weights.
Then, I eat like a MoFo...
Wen, 60 min straight on an empty stomach, with no lifting only Abs...

Ain't it a bitch???

for those that truly want to get up and do cardio, but find themselves in the "I'll work double hard tomorrow....I am goin back to sleep for now", try this.

Rip that stupid safety shut-off thing off the filter holder on your coffee pot. Set the auto-brew timer for the desired wakeup time. Take the coffee pot and stick it in your bedroom. Set your alarm clock for 1 min before the coffee maker goes off. basically, the alarm goes off, and if you don't drag your ass outta bed to run the coffe pot to the maker within a minute, you'll spend the morning cleaning up the 10 cups of coffee that came out of the maker.

This will work even if you don't drink the nasty coffee. :)

Just something I have done that has worked wonders on my morning laziness.

Hey I think that cardio is a BEAR like everyone else is but I think you all know that cardio and diet probably in all honesty make up about 80% of bodybuilding you could lift anything you want but if the cardio and the diet arent there it ain't gonna work. I do cardio 6 times a week in the morning . Iswim MON,WED,FRI for hr about 2.5 miles and on TUES,THURS,SAT i jog........----------------the point is TRAIN SMART, NOT HARD.............(kudos to you triplev)-----------buddha1

BTW

Tomorow i will be walking the stairs (20 flights) in my apartment building. I walk up and down over and over. Just watch the sweat drip. I didn;t believe it at first how hard it was. And believe me it is an aweseom workout for your calves. Beware you might not be able to walk for a few days, your calves will be too tight! Try it if you can. I like to change it up so Ii dont get bored. And i get bored easily. My miind is always moving too fast!

I go like 15 flights, 10 flights, 5, 10, 15, 20 ...
X 2 usually.

Ok, ok, i did it, only 35mins but its a start, and I dont have much to loose (despite the name)! Felt shit at the time, but have a nice sence of achievement now :angel:

I just got back from my cardio, 60 mins. on the bike.
I'm just not a morning person, plus I can't sleep lately.
I've got physical therapy tomorrow for my elbow, so I
have to get up early, then do cardio.

At least I thought about it this morning. So I'm getting better. ;)

I can't sleep because of elbow.

They don't know why my elbow hurts, thought it was tendenitis, but it is not getting any better. :(

They are talking about doing more tests.
I want them to do a mri on it, but they want
to keep trying different therapies.

I just want it to get better, can't do
any upper boddy work till it's better.:mad:
The good news is my legs are doing great
with all the work.
 
well i got up a bit later yesterday (Sat) and did my cardio. This time I did an aeorbic class. Its the only one I dod. The calss is so tough and it makes me sore. Come out of there looking like a tomoato! Don't usually cool off for hours. Feels awesoem!
The instructor also does an hour of cardio before the class!

Did my 40 min of cardio this morning..ran 5.5. the whole time...sweat was dripping like a bitch...i think it was 3.5 miles or somthing like that?
 
You don't need medicinal science, you need exercise. Hughes, et al, recorded an average 27.4% increase in testosterone levels in six male subjects immediately after the men finished 30 minutes of treadmill running. Although it was previously thought that exercising at a high intensity was necessary for increased testosterone production, test subjects exercised at only 80% of their VO2 max.

As researchers reported in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, rises in serum testosterone concentrations occurred 20 minutes into exercise (20.7%), 10 minutes postexercise (25.7%) and 20 minutes postexercise (21.6%). But if you're looking for an increased libido, don't wait too long. The subjects' serum testosterone returned to baseline levels at 30 minutes postexercise.

i was a lazy bitch today. i'm just down actually cause i was supposed to get my winny, i was all looking forward to it, and i have to wait! but that shouldnt be my excuse at all, i know.
Another thing is that the gym near my place is only opening Sept 4th, so im doing my cardio at home (bike and stairs in bldg) so im getting bored too.
will do it tomorow, see you then i hope!

had an aweseom cardio session this morning. only problem is that i find it really hard to eat after. it's now lunch time and havent eaten yet. im forcing myself to do it.

Just did an hour with 2 xen pills. 830 calories, 255 fat. ran i think a distance of 5.25...Not bad, feel mad tired though right now...

I think it has to deal more w/ intense exercise, and low blood sugar levels.
 
i was soooo bored riding my bike, i read a cook book! it was the only thing i could find in the room.

i just wasn't in to music.

oh well it's almost the weekend!!!!!!!!

a cheat day...hope you enjoyed it.:) I just went out for a big steak at the Keg, yummm. Today was leg day and to cool off I did a little waling on the treadmill with the incline. I find it so hard to do cardio on the weekends, but I will go rollerblading tomorow!!!

the park. It was very nice.

I'm doing legs today, so no cardio
for me either.

3v- what is the matter with your legs?
you work them too hard?
Try doing some stretches, that always helps.
Smile it will get better.:)
 
3V Try riding your bike after your leg workout,
go at a slow steady pace for 10 or 15 minutes,
I do that, and my legs stay fairly fresh.
Hope you're feeling better.:)

I always wondered what happened when
you peddle real hard. Now I know.;)

Did my 2 1/2 mile run through the park,
including one tumble from stepping in a hole
when I was distracted.:p
I'm sure she was impressed though, I had great
form on my fall.:D
