Who enjoys this machine??

One of the gyms I go to has one aswell. It's way easier than the traditional bench. All the young noob kids swarm them because the can put 2 45lb plates on either side and rep them. When they change their grip to the opposite of the guy in this video they have to drop to one 45lb plate on either side. the incline version does hit your upper chest very well though. That's the only one I incorporate into my routine when I'm at that gym.

When I switch my grip I still rep 3 plates.

Over all I dont think that this machine or any other is gonna beat free weights. As has been said it very efficiently takes out the stabilizer muscles and thats not good cuz that in itself will lead to injury.

Exactly...do a few sets on this, then switch to DB Flat Bench...you will feel the difference, as you will feel deeper muscle fibers, more tricep incorporation, and stabilizer muscles working...and cables have their place in training as well, so don't knock cables...I would opt for free weights and cables over machines any day...although I do like variety.

I'll have to try that definitelt

Hahaha I agree fuck cables. If you cant go heavy on it why do it! My gym doesn't really have machines..

Ya know, I have to disagree with this. No offense at all, but I think you can get a tremendous squeeze using cables and practice very good form when using machines and/or lighter weights. If you're just gonna go balls to the wall heavy all the time, you're bound to lose form. And I don't see how you can harden up just going heavy all the time.

I use this machine to superset with on another seated chest press machine with good results. Also you can straddle the bench (standing) and do tricep work on it. I don't see the vid. anymore so I don't remember if the handles were straight or angled.
