"The poll is worthless" - I posted it to see what people are using and what styles they prefer. To see what may be a good program for me and others to choose to try. I wouldn't call it worthles. I would call comments such as yours worthless however.

Yep it is worthless because no one that posted has given each program a try with all other variables held constant. Thus how would anyone know which yields the most hypertrophic gains. The poll is worthless because it compares statistics that are inherently worthless. The thread itself may not be as long as people provide a little background as to why they use their program and a little stats with training history. It was not a personal attack but you chose to take it that way. In the future please read and understand my posts before you jump to a conclusion out of defensiveness. If everyone on this board would not be as defensive, myself included, we would all get a lot more out of these discussions.

maybe then i can be of service.

i started using Dr squats routine when i started getting into powerlifting. at the same time i started reading about that new wsb program. so i tried it.......... i went from 215 lbs to 275lb with new maxes on everything. then i had to start cutting to get married......... and quite wsb and started dieting. dropped down to 230.

then began bulking again with the 5x5......... it helped, but my body does not do well with progressive resistance. i making good gaines but after 4-5 weeks i stagnated and tried switching exercises and reps but to no avail. then i started getting ready for another bb contest and switched to DC............... did good but i did my own variation. i did 1 heavy set of 4-8, then 1 set of 20 on every bodypart. it worked good.. but i just still stagnated, progressive resistances downfall.

now im back to wsb. and im loving it........ im finally understanding principals more, and incorporting exercise that i like and that i know will get me too my goal.

so i will have to go with wsb........... i get strength, speed, and size.

X

Nice post. The stats ARE inherently worthless without some context: training history, juicing or non-juicing section, etc.

I also like the idea of not taking ideas personally. Few of us want to attack other people; we're just talking about whether their thinking has merit or not.

No reason whatsoever to take that to heart, since we all make mistakes...

Btw, I love your avatar :)

Fair enough. I apologize to jumping for such a conclusion. next I will be more specific in asking a question. No hard feelings.
