It's been so long since I've really gone out, but I was always partial to Chicago house. Charles Feelgood is or was, out of DC and I like what he spind. Eric Morello and Little Louie Vega are/ were good as well.
girls are smoking! i dont know about the sound though i had to watch it on mute![]()
definitely not my style i will stick with 140bpm rather than 128bpm
I dig this stuff you listen to. I believe you sent me a link of some of your fav's. Got anymore?

NYC Underground Party, Vol. 3 that came out in 2000 - SICK ALBUM!!!

ohh I have that one...I love it
Louie DeVito is awesome
Did you like the "666"?
It was pretty sick
Okay, I think it's pretty well known that I can't stand techno/house/trance/jungle/d&b/whatever-the-flavor-of-the-week-is-in-dance-music type stuff, and think most DJs are toolbags.
That said, I recently had to deal with a show by one of the Beastie Boys, he was "spinning" rather than rapping or playing. First of all, all his tracks were on a laptop and he used the two turntables with some piece of software, I fergit what it's called, that allows him to use the turntables to scratch even though the LP records aren't the sound source. I suppose you fanboys will instantly know what I'm talking about. Anyway, all his audio sources sounded crappy and low-fi, like really low-rate MP3s. Secondly, his mix was a trainwreck from start to finish, it was just too busy, like he had to throw in everything he knew, every second.
Oh, looked it up, it's "Serato".
Anyway, I thought he was aggressively bad, and totally hated it, even more than I usually hate DJ shows. The local support dudes at least had a certain "flow", even if it did tend to sound like the same "song" for 45 minutes at a time.
lmao... im not going to comment, ill just laugh about it
i work in bklyn an neva heard of this place, whats the address?I'm from Toronto but travel frequently! I',m currently in California! And I have partied many times in NYC....Discoteque when was there and Crobar in Particular! Boris is amazing too.....he played for me a fav last track one night....or should i say day....tee hee....I'm headed there in about a month! I'm visiting A good friend of mine who hasn't had his fair shake as a dj and should....his sound reminds me of Victor Calderone whom i also love! His name is Henry and him and his partner call themselves the Beat Ministers. He owns a sushi restaurant in Brooklyn called Dish and they play after food stops serving on weekends. His partner plays more soulful house to start and then he lays it down after! Check them out if you get a chance! xo
