I am doing the wsb program , but i wanna start doing deads. which workout should i incorporate them. should i do them on DE squat day? or what. any suggestions?

I do speed deads on my DE squat day, after my box squats.

I generally dont' train them heavy too often, but the speed reps help to keep your speed up and keep your groove.

i'd like to try them heavy i think b/c i've never done them and stuck with em . but i wanna sub sld's for gm's. ??

I put them on back day now. I used to do them on leg day after my squats... but after playing with it... I found they definitely seem to give me the most when I do them first on back day.

Squats and deads on the same day? I'd fucking die! I lead off back day with deads.

If you are using WSB I would encourage you to consider a 3 way rotation of GM's, deads, and squats. Before I explain, I want you you to know that OUR crew only does a full ROM, 1RM deadlift AT COMPETITION...we never do it in training unless we're testing numbers (and we rarely have the occasion to do that). We do speed deads, in partial, after speed squats, and roated with squats and GMs as an ME move. For example, if we do 1RM Gm's, we may do rack pulls for a 3RM. If you do reverse band deadlifts for a 1RM we may do high or low squats or GM's as the 3rm move.

Make sense?
