schutzhundk9 said:Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Canada have a minimum barrel length law which would make this pistol illegal? I wouldn't want a .410 for self defence. go .45 and be done with it.

in a very tense situation the level of accuracy required to spray someone with a load of 00 buckshot is significantly less than that required to punch a hole in them with a single projectile. . .i'm a VERY BIG fan of the .45. . .if you do connect with your target. . .anywhere on their body. . .the fight/burgalry/home invasion is pretty much over. . .but you gotta hit the target. . .not always easy when your adrenals are crapping juice into your bloodstream. . .
schutzhundk9 said:Agreed but even in a defensive shooting situation your going to be responsible for each of those rounds of buckshot. I would rather one projectile that I know where it's going than 7 that I kind of have an idea about the direction.

The .45 for the Judge is .45 Long Colt, not .45 ACP.manny78 said:Here's a pic I took of 4 different ammo (9mm but anyway you get the idea) that could be a good option. Forget the last two (far right). Glaser, GECO are 2 bullets that can be used at home with very little risk. Both have enough stopping power at close range while not being able to punch through walls. Not sure if GECOs are made in .45. Only get them in 9mm.
