when to add fat to diet

Best to have some fats with each meal in my opinion. Balance each meal with a protein, carb and essential fatty acid and your insulin levels will be dramatically improved throughout the day. Great to keep yourself in a fat burning/muscle building state. :)

I'm just wondering because I've read that it is not recommended to have carbs and fats in the same meal...

Combining the three macronutrients together at each meal only made improvements on my body and didn't hinder fat burning in anyway. Essential fats combined with carbs slow down digestion and the release of insulin in your bloodstream. Helps keep your energy levels high and keeps you feeling more satisfied throughout the day. If you were following a CKD then you would want to avoid carbs with fats. Hope that helped some.

what you don't want to do is eat pasta and steak together.....ie simple carbs and fats together is not good! having a lean steak and a plain baked potato or brown rice...now that's different.

All depends on the meal, i.e. lets say the food is pizza :) ... those are very bad fats & carbs to have together :)

Alex everything you said, I agree with :)

i agree with alex and bunny
no meal should be without all 3 macronutrients
i did atkins then ckd for over two years
it worked at first to shred pounds but then i stalled and my health went downhill for a while
you NEED good fats constantly
clean protiens
and complex carbs
of which i suggest at least 75% coming from raw and/or green slightly cooked veggies
my two cents
