When do I take my post workout shake?

Ok, here's the deal. I begin lifting weights at 5am and finish at 6:30am. But I then get on the treadmill for 30minutes. Which means I'm finished at 7am and I don't get home to have my post workout shake until 7:10 - 7:15am. Do I take my post workout shake when I get home at that time??? Or do I take my post workout shake after lifting weights and then get on the treadmill??? Which of course that would really suck!!! Suggestions please.

11 mins 32.87459687985467458763445634 seconds after a workout seems to yield the highest anabolic effect :o
duh...

people, why can't you be practical and reasonable about nutrition, morning cardio and premarital sex?

Ok, after cardio. But right after??? Or can I go home first ( which takes approx 10-15mins ) and then take the shake?

So about 45 minutes later? you could be goo doing that, its not a huge time differnece from after cardio and getting home.. I'd say whenever you want. JUst within and hour and a half after lifting

I put the powder (whey/glutamine/creatine) in my shaker the night before....then, I grap a gatorade or powerade at the gym and some ice....as soon as I finish my last set, I mix it all together, toss him some ice, shake it like hell and down it on my way home..........very easy.

Glutamine doesn't really do anything for recovery...

ditto.
dietary glutamine is worthless - just a preferntial fuel to carbs (even if that), but that's it...

juve, I'm curious just for my own knowledge.

I have seen you post about taking 5 servings of glutamine peptides per DAY.. the highest dosage I've ever heard of..

What's the difference in the "dietary glutamine" you are talking about, and the "glutamine peptides" you so ravenously consume? I'd love to know as I am using G-Plenish as well and would like to know why it seems to be such a great supplement. You have a knack for explaining chemistry in layman's terms.

l-Glutamine as marketed by most companies simply does not cross blood-brain barrier - most of its structure is reduced to its carbon base, not to mention it is already the most abundant amino acid present in the plasma - conclusively, uhh, it is useless in terms of providing the coveted benefits of immunoupregulation, glycogen formation enhancement, stunting cortisol, etc.

peptides - are predigested smaller molecules which are much more efficient in permeating/assimilating in blood plasma hence you yield the desired benefits glutamine. it is second best to IV glut - I suppose you can raid a clinic or a incineration/burnt victim and relieve them of the IV delivery system, but that's your prerogative :o

the reason why I take such a dose of gplenish is because I do a lot of high intensity endurance training along with weighlifting, and gplenish loves me, and I make Omega happy :)

Spread it out. IMO if your lifting weights and doing cardio that close to each other you're just fighting yourself. I do cardio in the AM, I lift weights in the PM, try it ;).
