my high school was quite boring - no one was getting knocked up, shot, or knifed.

i did have a friend of mine die from anorexia, though.

1985.. I too was 17, 7th in my class and a member of the National Honor Society... all that and $1.25 will get me an Xtra LG coffee: light w/cream and no sugar at the local Dunkin Donuts.

But where is Grumpy Old Man? That fucker will make us all feel like the snots that we are. LOL

I failed grade 11 math and had to go to summer bo-bo school. But who cares really...I would have never used a degree and now make a million $'s a year, have fast cars, fast men and travel the world.
Oh wait...sorry those dreams were quashed cause I failed grade 11 math ;-)

A degree is never a bad investment as no one can ever rob you of knowledge. I do agree, however, that I have met more than a few morons who were in possession of a degree. I've also met many peeps that have gone on to make millions never having set foot inside a learning insitution higher than high school. Those peeps were obviously exceptional.

i went to summer school once too- i'm like an idiot savant- but the idiot part only comes out when american history is discussed.

I was 5. I was a genius colorer so they put me up to grade 1 really quick..haha!

LOL Makes me wish I was back at my place so I could show you some photos that would make YOU ALL run screaming from the room. I think the best ones I have are of us in "the old country" visiting my family. OMG was THAT awfull!!! :worried:

One of THE BEST ONES (I think) was taken of me and my exhusband. I was married but didnt have children yet at the tender age of 22. OMG DID I LOOK HORRIFYINGLY GROSS!!! We were standing on the beach. I was in a bikini trying desperately to hide behind my fatty arm! Sadly, as I moved so many times that photo was lost. I used to keep it in my portfolio next to a pic that was taken 10 years (and 4 children) later at one of my bbing competitions. The comment everyone made was, "Shouldnt these pics be reversed?"

I was SUCH a little fatty and my parents being poor immigrants dressed me in my brothers hand-me-downs. Yea, I got beat up a lot. LOL

I am still the same person in THIS body that I was in THAT body. Just makes me chuckle to myself how differently "we" are treated. Hello! I am still JUST me. :)

It will be my pleasure to share any pics I find. Sure it will be good for some laughs. Goodness knows, I STILL laugh when I see them.

I love old pics. Progression can sometimes be a good thing. And yes in my case, with age came less fat and a better sense of self.
I was treated diff. as a fatty. Men called me mean names in high school and now they are all fat and yucky!
 
I used to get made fun of cause I read bodybuilding and fitness mags. Now when I see some of the ones who poked fun I give it back without saying a word.
 
I feel so disconnected from the me in high school and college even. i feel like it was such a long time ago, that it's almost like a different lifetime or a different person altogether. I dont identify with the me of yesteryear at all, except that I have (almost) all of the memories.

ditto. . .i was quite shy. . .especially with women. . .now i sit in court and testify on the work that i do and i get up in front of peers to do continuing education seminars and i jump at pretty much every opportunity to speak in public about my profession and my experiences over the years. . .and i'm a horrible flirt (i never act on it but i love to play the game). . .

my 25th (yikes!) is this summer. . .i've gone to each one starting with my 10th. . .i always have a blast. . .guaranteed i'll have the best abs and the youngest child (he'll be 14 months old tomorrow) at this one :)
