Deadlift.

You can improve your form in the squat and bench, use equipment to make the lift easier, take various shortcuts to make the lift easier

But deadlift is raw power to me, no shortcuts, no choice but to rip it from the ground

I like barbell curls! :p

Honestly, the deadlift used to be my favorite, but lately I enjoy squating the most.

Those are nice legs:heart:

Why?

Personaly I like the feel of benchpresses the most but I still like squating more now because it is rising so fast.

Out of those three, I'd have to go with the deadlift...dont know why, just feels the best. Overall though, I just started power cleaning, and I am liking it.:D

Am I the first (only) female here? Or don't the women do any powerlifting? I'm not a competitor, but I lift to find my limits (or to fight off the symptoms of aging).

I love both benching and deadlifting. It's a hard choice between those two. Maybe it's bench, anyway.

Well i would have to say deadlift. Squat is definetly a clos second!!! Nothing makes man look like beast more than holding a huge rack of weights that you just tore from the grounds grasp kicking and screaming....got thrive on that shit! :chomp:

Gotta Love them Deads!!!

A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with some degenerative disc disease thingy and the doc told me to stay away from Deads & Squats. After some time off from the gym and a series of steroid shots in my spine I hit the gym hard,...and of course the Deads & Squats. "Not gonna let this thing beat me" Is my montra. (proper form is of course, EVERYTHING)

Goin' strong and goin big !!! Saw the Doc last week for a check-up and told him how I was feelin and what I was doin. He was a little takin back at first by the look on his face but said, "yer lookin great and ya say yer feelin great, so just keep doin what yer doin" HELL YEAH!!!

I HATE SQUATS they're easy just pointless for me love deads and bench though

and glad to see spatts again

I'm gonna have to say squats are my favorite. I'm naturally best at deadlifting, but after learning how to squat well, now it's my fav. Still like benching deadlifting and always will.

The deadlift is my favorite lift. I am also starting to like the bench now that I am finally starting to learn how to use a poly bench shirt.

When I get to a 500 bench, I will switch to double denim. As of now, I am not strong enough to handle any weight that I can get to touch. When I hit that milestone, I will probably start to like the bench the best.

Deadlifts, you can't fake a deadlift. I see guys curtsy in the rack and call it a squat, i see 2 guys tag-team 300-400 for reps, but deads are the true myth-buster.

SQUATS...I never did them in H.S. but in college we squat all the time, Box Squats are my favorite all time lift 'cuz I used to be so weak with them and now I'm crushing more than a few DLinemen.
BTW i'm 6'6" and had both knees operated on and my hip after on-field injuries and I feel no ill effects in fact my knees hips and back feel awesome. So don't believe the hype - SQUATS ARE GOOD FOR YOU.

Hey where you play...what kind of agility work are you doing??? I am way out of shape...aerobic, agility wise...and i need something i know will work...i just took a 1 yr hiatus....bad knees....and need to be in goof form for next year.

can't say where, i'll say ACC. I've been doing some the evosport stuff that adam archuleta uses and that stuff really works, but its kinda rough on the knees. pick up his video if you want to learn it cause its way to complicated to explain here. Other than that the best things for me to get into shape aerobically is sprinting the stadium steps, also sprint-jog-sprints on the track work really good. box jumps, low squat foot jumps, shuttles, there are tons of exercises to get your explosiveness up.
If you have access to a pool and a sand pit try running, jumping and cutting in them that works great. we have an underwater treadmill at our facility that works great to get you back after an injury.

i love bench! but lately squatting has become really enjoyable. think i've finally got my line right, plus i've just started wrapping my knees..i can just add on the weight and touch and go...

Deadlifts - when things come together and the big pulls come out !!!

Squats feelgreat - directly after you have finished them.

My favorite lift used to be squat until I broke my neck and it had to be fixed.
My neurosurgeon said to never squat again. But I believe he thinks everybody carries the bar high on the back. My fav. lift has been the deadlift lately. I just received an S-cubed bar in the mail from www.ironmind.com. Since I carry the bar very low on my back it dont hurt my neck but a regular olympic bar forces me to hold my hands way in because the collars are too close and in the same place as where the rack supports are so it always tears up my biceps tendons and shoulders. So I used to not be able to bench for weeks on end and never train biceps. I think fav. lift will be the squat again soon. It has a super thick handle and collars are way out. It is comfortable. I havent squatted in 8 months till this weekend. I just gave 495 a ride down to parallel for 5 reps. It worked real good. Neck dont hurt at all. YIIIPPPPPEEEE

THE DEADLIFT[/B]"The bar is loaded. Your hands wrapped around the bent bar. Sweat pours from your veins, blood pumps faster after each Rep of the Deadlift. "The Meet don't start till the Bar hits the Floor." :chomp: :chomp: :p

:chomp: :chomp: ONCE, AGAIN THE DEADLIFT RULES...........THE DEADLIFT[/B]"The bar is loaded. Your hands wrapped around the bent bar. Sweat pours from your veins, blood pumps faster after each Rep of the Deadlift. "The Meet don't start till the Bar hits the Floor." :chomp: :chomp:

I love all three especially when you are breaking PR's. But personally i love to squat and deadlift, then bench would come next for me :newbie:

Bench...

I'd have to said Dead too, gets me pumped and a big back makes for the best addition to a V taper. But, if everyone loves deads so much, why is the world record lowest for deads...most of my friends have slightly higher deads than their squats...

I like squat and deadlift alot, right now squat is my favorite. Have hated bench from day 1 though.

Deads, followed closely by squats.

since iv just been able to get back under the bar after 2 yrs its the squat....

The squat gets them hot........

I enjoy bench, something about conquering the weight by pushing it away from your chest just feels like an accomplishment to me.

i love all three but i think the bench gets the most attention, squats are the easiest for me to improve on, and the deadlift always gets weird looks. but i do agree with alot of people on here when they say deadlift is all brute power.

Bench press. Trying to get up around 400 to start doing some meets. At 365 now.

Sent from my htc t-bolt using the elitefitness app.

Power clean.... It is a great gauge of how strong you really are. It combines all 3 and you can't fake it either!!
