Hey guys...whats up?
I have a problem (maybe thats not the right word to use, but its the only thing i can think of) and i would appreciate all of your help.

When i work out anybody part, i get a pump, of course. but it isnt a regular one. for ex: when i do arms, i get an 1.5 inch pump.
my arms go from 14.5 to 16's. is that unusual? When i got measured today in the gym, they couldnt believe that i was only 14.5 when the other day, after pump, i was 16.

To make things worse, a day later, or an hr later for that matter, my arms shrink down to 14.5 again. can some1 expalin to me why that is?? even when i hit legs, for ex, my calves are 15, and they jump to 17's after a work out..then back to 15's the next day. it is soo annoying when ur arm shrinks like practically half way down the next day. it is literally 2wice the size after pump.

can some1 help me out and let me know why it is that a body can function that way? is it normal? i would appreciate all feed back guys..thank you

I can't give some detailed, scientific explanation but in my opinion, you are just describing a natural occurance in the body due to exercise. At rest, bloodflow is directed toward organ systems to do the every day things like digestion. When you impose exercise on your muscles, bloodflow is "rerouted" to where it is needed. I.E. your extremeties for things like energy production, etc. Once the stimulus is over and the body senses it doesn't need that much blood flow to the extremeties, it reroutes it back. Again, sounds pretty normal.

Hey man, thanx for the reply.
i know it sounds like i am a new trainer from the way i posted my thread. but i have been working out for 3 yrs. i know about the blood flow and everything. i guess i as looking for a different explanation. you are absoloutlyt right though with what u said.

i dont know, i guess i am just annoyed that i can get such a huge pump, and my arms shrinks back 1.5 inches an hr later. oh well, what can u do eh

so, what are some of your guys's measurments after pump?? you vets out there get a huge pump? state ur measurment on any body part before and after pump.

I get pumps well over an inch on my arms also. It's good to see other people do too, because I was at another dicussion board and people seemed to think that a 1 - 2 inch pump was impossible and that I was talking shit, but I get it and it seems like you do also. Obviously the pump goes away, what do you think, you're going to keep that 1.5 inches of blood? But surely you've had some growth?? Like you say they go back to 14.5, but don't you then get some growth over the course of the next week??

for some odd reason, i dont get to keep any of that within the next week. i just lift and lift, eat and eat, but i dont grow. i mean, sure i am very small boned and very small framed, but i dont think that should matter..should it? i mean, if ur a hardgainer, that shouldnt mean that u when u lift, to not see results if you are doing everything right. i will try to post some pics up of me for u guys to c what i am talking about. i am not as bad as i am making my self to be, but it takes me like over a half a yr to grow just a half an inch. maybe thats normal. working out is damn frustrating..haha, maybe i should just juice up..lol

Theres nothing wrong with that at all bro. Honestly thats completely fine and its probably happening even more if your supplementing with creatine or following a higher carb type diet. For example when I was taking Cell-Tech and loading I would take 2 scoops preworkout and 2 scoops post and that really made a difference. I would pump up like crazy. Good luck!!
