Whats the differenece bewteen (cardio question)

I may not be completly right here, but I'll give it a shot.

Aerobic excercises improves the efficientcy of the body to use oxygen.

Anaerobic excersices occur when the body goes through an oxygen debt. Lactic acid forms from this. Ithink this is considered when you are working to build muscle.

This might not be exactly right but it is simple to understand.
How about someone else chime in here and give him a good definition.
Hope this helps...
and the K is appreciated :D

The difference is just between the energy systems used.

Short bursts of action (sprinting, heavy lifting) use the ATP-PC system or anaerobic glycolysis, which aren't dependant on oxygen.

Longer exercises (jogging, high rep lifting) use aerobic glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation to produce ATP for energy.

The ATP-PC system just uses ATP and Creatine to produce energy. Aerobic and Anaerobic glycolysis uses muscle glycogen. And oxidative phosphorylation uses fats predominantly.
