this question has probably been asked a hundred times but i am coming off of a cycle of deca and dbol. i want to try to keep as much of my gains as possible.i didnt use any protein or creatine while i was on my cycle i just ate a clean diet.

Whey's gonna be in and out of your system pretty quickly so if you want something for the rest of the day other than post-WO, go to proteincustomizer.com and get a caseine/egg mix.

My mix comes to $5.52 a # flavored, and it tastes awesome. You could also go with proteinfactory.com. They have more flavors (other than the usual 3) but their prices are a lot more and they didn't meet content claims on certain proteins.

Instead of worrying which protein powder is the highest QUALITY, you should be more concerned that you are getting an adequate QUANTITY in on a daily basis, this is more important.

Any decent whey protein will do the job, besides you should be using it to fill in the gaps and make the majority of your protein intake come from whole food sources.

While you should get most of your protein from whole food, whey protein is post-workout protein or 'I'm going to eat in 30 minutes after this whey shake' protein. If someone told you different, they lied or didn't know. It's okay, though, it's common myth.

Yes, I know that.

I would suggest a good milk protein isolate which you can get from the protein factory or protein customiser. An added benefit is that it's good for the alctose intolerant and maintains much of the minerals found in whole milk.

post workout cross flow or ion exchanged whey......anyother time whatever protein doesnt give you gas hehe.......you can use whey multiple times a day ( by far your best route) or you can use things lie micellar casien and or milk protein isolates (80% casien 20% whey) for long term....egg sucks....dont let anyone tell you its a great protein. Its amino acid profile is awesome but asbsorbtion is very low. Egg Whites are a lil better....this comes from Michael Colgan.....most well researched and prob smartest health / athletic doctor around for the past 20 yrs. He says a real athlete shouldnt even base protein on steaks and chix...its just not good enough for optimal gains, but who has 500 a weeek to spend on 150-200g of whey isolates a day hehe.
