Pretty straight forward - it will block popups, but not those flash enabled popovers (or whatever the hell they are called)

You can also use the toolbar to search google, which is sweet.

no, it won't

security is best done in a multi-layered approach - stopping popups isn't really security, per se, more of an annoyance removal. There is some benifit if the popups have cookies that are shared across sites, but most of those can be embedded in the page themselves.

Click on the Goggole Toolbar button, then OPTIONS. Make sure the thing labeled "Page Rank" is deselected.
