Whats the best deer rifle?

depends on the size of deer, and the terrain you'll be hunting on..

if you are shotting outside of 200 yrds and the animal is 200 lbs its one rifle..

if it mule deer shotting over 400 yrds that's another..

...it was discontinued in 1981...that's kinda sad...it's a great rifle.

My wife has the same gun in 30-06^^^^^^^^^. She never ever shoots it. Savage rifles with the accu-trigger in .308 are pretty fucking sweet. Next dedicated big game rifle I buy will be in a AR platform. DO yourself a favor and get something with a pistol grip stock or thumb hole. Much more natural to shoot.
If you have a permit just get a big bore revolver and use that.

It's a bit pricey but I have a Browning A-bolt 7msm. I Fucking love that gun. I hunt Georgia, and Florida deer and hogs with it. I never have had one get away from me. But you should pay more for the scoop than you do the rifle bro imo

I love remingtons but just bought a browning xbolt and am very pleased with it. Its a 7mm and did the trick on my muley at 535 yards this year. But for I LOVE the 257 weatherby caliber for deer.
