What's best time of month to start a cycle?

I've searched all the Elite discussion boards for menstruation, menstrual, period. Nothing.

I swear I read one girl here saying she starts her cycles the day after that last drop (of blood). But I'll be danged if I can find it again.

What say you all? What is best time of month to start a cycle? Thank you

I didn't know there was a difference, thanks for the info, you're probably more than right Snow White!

why?

This may be a stupid question, but I'm a newbie, just trying to get educated...

Why right after a period? Is that so that you have more estrogen to protect you against the masculinizing effects of testosterone?

Or do the hormones even work that way?

Like I said, a newbie.

:p

It's just my preference

No, hormones do not work like that. I just did it once in mid stream, and my period remained for an extra 2-3 days. :p That sux. But what I have found is that now my body is getting used to cycles and I'm beginnig to have somewhat normal periods, albeit shorter. Figures that the best part of being a woman would adapt. Again, it's just my preference to let my cycle complete as normal, then start.

My logic was that it'd be best to start with an empty uterus. But what do I know :o) I'm a newbie too.
That's why I'm here asking.

i am not sure either, but i just started mine right before my period which is due any day now... i will let you all know if i have any problems or if all is cool.

OK... so far i would say that it probably doesn't matter when you start a cycle... several women said after the period, but i just did mine prior and i got my period with no probs... all is well in gear land :)

My thought on this, and only a thought, not a recommendation, would be to start a cycle as you would OCs. First dose on the Sunday after your period starts; a time when everything is low (estrogen, progesterone, etc.) and mostly likely to suppress LH and FSH and subsequent ovulation along with estrogen and progesterone increases. BUT, there is no guarantee that ovulation will not occur. We know this from transsexual women to men who can still ovulate on 200 mg every 1-2 weeks of Test Enanthate. Therefore, it probably also depends on the AAS, dose and individual response.

BTW, estrogen does NOT protect one from the virilizing sides of androgens.

Because this will never be studied in a clinical setting, as Lobo said, it is critically important that you ladies keep record of your experiences (good or bad) and post them. You are the lab rats.
