What type of supplements do I need to be using?

I have been lifting for about 1 year. I have not gotten serious about weight lifting but I want to start. With all of the supplements out there I do not know what to take. I dont want to waste my money on a bunch of worthless supplements. So which supplements do I need to be taking?

Thank You

the main thing is that when you squat, squat ALL THE WAY down in a pair of chuck taylors.

that will give you more mass than any supplement.

creatine works , protein is a must. most of the other supps are just going to cost you money and not give you want you want. unless you are at the top of your game and need that last .01%
get your training on track, eat right, get plenty of sleep and use some gear if you want.

Start drinking a post workout shake which should consist of 30-50g of protein (use whey protein) and 50g dextrose and maybe some glutamine at 5-10g.

You could also order some CEE from the AF store. CEE is the best creatine going, much better than any shit you will get at your local store.

If you want to start taking supps this is a good place to start.

ISO AGB - it's the highest grade protein there is. No carbs. No lactose. The FDA's highest digestability rating. As high as baby food. It also contains Acetylated Glutamine so you don't have to buy that seperately.

PureCEE The purest from of Creatine Ethyl Ester. Again no stomach bloat and it's in your muscles in minutes. This was mentioned already but I'll say it again.

Get them at the AF Store by clicking on my signature.

Great advice from these bros already. You didn't mention that you were planning AAS, didn't know since this is a steroid forum.....because sometimes there are specific supplements/vitamins/minerals that are good to supplement your diet with while on select gear.

That withstanding, I will add/reinforce:

Quality multivitamin and mineral supplement (liquid minerals are good)
GOOD flax seed oil (if inclined fish liver oil and/or evening primrose oil)
Glutamine
Zinc
Fast acting protein powder for immediately after workouts (such as whey isolate)

Don't listen to common folk or bros with little income that say all supplements are a rip-off, and a waste of your money, that's a farce. The recommendations you have heard in here should help you.

However, I will agree that you should never forget the word is SUPPLEMENT! Do your best to get your calories, protein, vitamins/minerals from whole foods first, and a quality diet. Sounds like motherly advice that anyone can give, but many seem to forget sometimes. Supplement what you have difficulty fulfilling in your diet based on your lifestyle.

I will add one more personal favorite, some bros may chastise because of fear, but I love it and it has helped me and CHEAP........I like to buy a container of beef and chicken liver at the grocery store (usually costs about $1.00). I squeeze and drain the liver blood, and add the blood this to some juice, milk, egg whites, or protein powder for a great source of protein. Very easily assimilated, and great for you if you can get over the taste. You can Usually lasts for about 4 or 5 days.

Good luck, stick around, you will get good advice from this forum.

Three supplements that I could not do without year-round:

1. Glutamine

2. Udo's Oil Blend

3. Melatonin (to ensure deep, lengthy sleep)

Word- Especially on the Glutamine and the Omega Oils... these are so important IMO

are you all taking glutamine as a stand-alone or is it a part of another supp? I've heard good things about this and want to get it in my routine.

thanks
