What the HELL did you expect on your first cycle?

OK... I was just wondering what you guys actually "felt" on your first cycle...and when. I mean, I've read the sticky's and did a year of research before I stuck myself for the first time a week 1/2 ago... (yep, did the second round on Tuesday)....

SO for me...though I know the gains come ever so slowly (I'm on 250ew Sustanon and 450ew Prim0, .05 liquidex ed, Unleashed and Post Cycle on the shelf ready to go) but when you are newbie...and you take the leap...what did you really expect to feel???

I dunno, for me? I did not know WHAT to expect (except I was warned about a sore ass using sustanon...that IS so F'n true) but no "fire" running through my viens...no noticable increases in strength, no rock hard woodies (which I was REALLY hoping for) not leaping buildings in a single bound..... SO I'm just waiting. Though I have to say, I did an EDT set (ever do a couple of THOSE in a row???) with assisted wide grip pull ups and 53lb kettlebell mil presses...and I did 50 reps in 15 minutes....superset...which is a record for me. 3 min rest, EDT set of DB Bench 65x2, KB ballistic rows...50 reps again...another PR).

Was it the AS? maybe. Maybe not. I train hard. Been off KB's for a while... was doing traditional weightlifting....good stuff.

SO what did YOU feel or EXPECT to feel the first time?
 
I expected to be strong as fuck and for the first few weeks i was like damn this shits slow but then one day around week 4-5 your gonna walk in and throw an extra plate on pretty much everything and not be tired at all, its amazing just be patient.
 
OH yeah, I was told to be patient...so I am...it's just...the first time you do it.... I was thinking "WTF is this gonna feel like".... So it was surprising.

Anyone else?
 
After trying garbage supplements for years that didnt work I was pretty pleased with my first cycle.
 
I'm sure I will be too...but did the first time you shoot give you what you expected? Or was it anti-climax-tic.??? That's the Q! You read all the time, "AS won't make you an instant beast, or make you instantly stronger.....hard work and good diet are the key to reaping the bene's..." But didn't you "expect" some feeling? Like the described "feeling of well-being" you are supposed to get from "test"?

And me too on the garbage supps....Nelson hit it head on in BB Truth.
 
I kept my expectations low. I began to realize how quickly I was recovering and how much stronger I felt. I gained 10 pounds pretty quick. People treated me different in the gym... the veterans started asking me to spot them and stuff. It was great. And mind you it was a simple Deca-Winny cycle.
 
Everyone's different. Some feel super human within hours whereas it takes others a couple of weeks. If you're stronger than ever, that's a sign. It depends on your expectations. If you expect TOO much, you might be disapointed. It's like the guys who think that as long as they do gear they they're going to gain as much muscle as they want. It doesn't work that way. And remember, you're on a relativively conservative dosage and Primmo doesn't make you blow up.

Still, for a first time you should be seeing more density in your muscles (unless you're overweight). Or, the gear can just be flat out no good or underdosed. Keep us posted.
 
I never expected any superhuman changes or anything. I was hoping for more strength and faster recovery and that was what i got. I was told at the time that i'd notice changes around week 3 which turned out to be true. Around week 5 the weights i've been doing suddenly seemed light. I mean not just when I was doing the actual lifts. I remember standing by the bench looking at someone doing 25 lbs more than i used to and thinking: "Hell that thing is light as a feather bet i can do my 8 reps with that easy." I could :) Never looked back.

I had some early painful sides with my first d.bol cycle but after my body calmed down and balanced 2 weeks in, (total short 4 weeks) I had really low expectations. I was pleased to have first lost a couple of lbs, and then gain back 7 lbs of which 6 I was able to keep. My strength increased at least 20 percent, and I didn't hurt my joints like I was worried, my pumps were like they were 25 years ago, and I broke through a plateau I was stuck at for years.

Not nearly a superhuman feeling, but any improvement was very welcomed and I am still benefiting from the added strength at this point. I didn't have any increased libido until I did my clomid P.C.T which I just finished last week.

I will be next trying Androgel (dr. prescript) and considering Anavar and or Dermacrine to be run at the same time. Another weak cycle, but I am looking for modest solid gains that my joints can handle.

Good luck with your goals bro.. I'm sure they're on the way!!

If yuour overwirght to start you will not see density in your muscles. Also I wolug think you would lose some weight and harden up if your diet is right. What is you opinion?

really? Do you not think it is necessary? Or just overly precautious?

Again, I'm certain I'll be making some kinda gain, and like it was stated, my only real expectation was to (er, IS TO) recover quicker, maybe get stronger...which in turn will build.... but this is not "that" cycle for me...it's just my first....a test....to see how my body handles it.

The next cycle might not be any longer...but will probably be a little more aggressive.

Again, I'm really only interested in what your expectations were the first time... I think I made a good choice....I'm certain (if our mods are right) that I got top-qual gear.... and I'm looking forward to the future!

I didn;t notice that. Yep, too much. It isn;t being cautious if you overdo a prevenitive measure. Primmo doesn't aromatize and 250 of T is very little. I'd say you don;t need any dexx at all -- just keep it on hand in case, and for after the cycle when there's a little spike in e , but even then, 0.5 EOD, along with the POST CYCLE should be PLENTY.

matt: It's harder to see subtle muscular changes with a layer of fat and Primmo is a slower, more subtle compound.

I think 2rap will have to wait a month or so before giving a full evaluation. If you're sure the gear is good and all goes well with PC,in a few months, you can do another more potent cycle. Better to err on the side of caution.
 
Yeah Nelson...we all know you don't do it anymore, but you're on HRT, right? But what was your FIRST cycle like.

I was expecting to get strong and big. It was weird because I knew it would take a couple weeks for the test to kick in. I didn't really realize it but my gains never stopped the whole cycle. Before it was all said and done I was plus 30 lbs. I was shocked once I realized that. People noticed and jokingly made steroid comments and I laughed and said "I take that as a compliment since I would never touch that stuff" :D It sucks working out after a cycle because I never get worm out while I'm "on".

I did the most pussified fist cycle ever -- Primmo TABS! Talk about plaing it safe! I could actually see and feel a difference though and that got me hooked.

I then went to Primmo inj and pretty much everything else after that. My BIG contest cycle was 200 mgs of Decca and (if I recall correctly) 20 mgs of dball. I hated the bloat and had to lose a ton of water but placed 5th at the NPC on that simple stack. Pretty much stuck with primo and test after that. (I was especially fond of sus 250 but see little need for it now). Never exceeded 800 mgs a week.
 
my first cycle (which amazingly was over 20 years ago) I was expecting to feel it,and was slightly disappointed because I didn't feel the effects until 4 weeks into it.at the time I was running testosterone enanthate and wasn't educated on the time frame it takes and how it actually works.the gains came slow and steady and 10 weeks into it I was very pleased with my size and strength increases.

first cycles to me are basically good for a person to gauge how they react to gear in general,to determine whether or not they're prone to gyno,acne and hair loss.that's why I recommend running one compound at a time that way if you have sides you will know exactly what's causing it and can adjust accordingly.

for a second cycle and cycles there after I've always jump started them using testosterone propionate and or dianabol.that takes the waiting part entirely out of the equation imo.
 
now THAT's What I'm talking about....great reply's guys....if I wasn't spending ALL My $$$ on my girl... (her next comp is Nov 3rd) getting her ready and pimping her up.... then I'd buy K to spread around....guess I'll have to earn more!!!

That's a great reply Nelson, Hyp and B.Genetics... thanks for the input guys... I just think your stories are interesting...and are valuable for ANY first timer who despite the warnings...."Thinks" (a very dangerous word sometimes) something different my happen.

Again, I'm looking foward to more stories of first time expectations....the END of my first cycle....and to see what I want to do next....

1st cycle was shity d-bol de,ca cycle, felt grate from 1st day 4 weeks or so maby 6 i felt like super man. not that i recomend this cycle to ne one. but then I used A.5.0's in a nother cycle with p.rop felt invincible from day 1. by the end of my cycle I was stronger then ever!. but when iv used slower esters I find the real magick start 4-6 weeks in.
I think most of it will always be in your head though.
when it dose kick in tho you will know what i was talkin about and what all the hyp is about.

I started my first cycle ever about 3 weeks ago. Im doing a 25mg/day dbol and 500 test e/week cycle. I was expecting to be an animal right after first inject. I just told myself to relax and everything would work out as I've always been a fan of instant gratification. My dbol kicked in heavily after a week. My dbol pumps are so crazy it starts to hurt, but I love it. Still waiting for that test to hit. I can't wait.

lol..I was 19 and my dad got me the cycle...my old man was a avid juicer built his own gym and we always worked out together....got me a 50ml vial of what I think was qv deca 50mg per ml...some fucked up shit.so I injected like a mother fucker did like 300mg ew till the vial was gone...I thought I was such a bad ass
throwing around weights to my 2-pac hit em up song.I expected to be the next arnold ya right...I just wanted to be a beast and lift the weights my old man was lifting.I got great gains out of the cycle though but I know I was way way to young...I kept lifting after the cycle but then a few years later I joined the army and all the running in basic and airborn school killed my size and I had to start all over again after that.

all and all I loved it.
 
I believe that for me it was a vicious cycle that spun out of control. When you stick yourself for the first time you realize that you crossed a somewhat imaginary line..you injected something into your body, not something everybody does. That was a boost right there, the first shot. Now I had an extra "push" at the gym, if you will. After weeks of nothing and then you start adding weight to your sets that you never did before, you realize that the stuff works. Now, the psychology of injecting, strength and gains just drives you harder. I did a lot of cardio so my fat just dropped off my body, albeit with the help of juice too. Pretty soon you start to get a really good physique and that just adds more fuel to the fire of injecting, strength, pushing hard at the gym and gains. Its a great feeling and quite an ego boost. It's great! Trouble is with me, I stayed on 2 years straight..not the greatist choice..but thats me.

I kinda expected the strength after what some of my buds had been doing before me, but the best godamn part was stacking those extra plates and feeling like I hadnt even been to the gym the next day. Not even a hint of soreness

I did not know what to expect but when I started benching 365 for reps I knew it was real, so much so, that I kept myself back from pusing harder so I do not get hurt
 
Actually that was my first clue. It was about 10 days after the cycle and I was training legs and the weight I normally used went up like it was nothing. I added an extra 45 on each side and that went up. That's when I knew. THIS IS FOR ME!

On another note, a friend of mine who never juiced and wasn't a very serious trainer and knew nothing about gear but was willing to try anything. He got a hold of some dball and asked me what to do. I told him to try 20 mgs a day. A week later I have a message on my machine. "DUDE! THIS STUFF WORKS!!!"
 
Now...didn't this turn out to be a great thread! Your stories are motivating! That is just some awesome shit there....very very cool.

I thought I would look like Goldberg by the end.
I had no idea that diet was the most important thing no matter if you used AAS or not.
The reality (that I had no idea of) is that hard work and education play the biggest part in getting the most out of your workouts.
What to eat.
When to eat it.
How much to eat.
Why are you eating it.
A proper routine.
Not overtraining.
Getting the right amount of sleep.

To this day I have never "felt" anything yet I have grown 70+ lbs of lbm on minimal AAS.

a lot of these guys NEED to understand HOW a steroid works and WHY dieting is important and WHAT and how you eat effects your body

not JUST DO THIS AND DO THIS AND U WILL BE BIG NO QUESTIONS!
 
Nah.....Im doin pretty good so far

ive only used GH once and im not using it for another 20+ years and by then,,

gh will be obsolete!

I have been doing some PT stuff with the elastic rubber band straps

im going to try out upperbody tomorrow, wish me luck

My first cyle i got what i expected i got good gains about 30lbs, strength went up alot. . . it did take a few weeks for me start seeing results but after going to the dark side ill never go back . . . .
 
Thanks man....I'd still like to hear from some of those big boyz...like NEEDSSIZE....Geezus...can you imagine ?? I'd like to see pics of him BEFORE he started....

Anyway....is the thread gonna die? I hope not...a lot of these guys posts give me HOPE for the FUTURE!

when i geared up for the firs time about 6 years ago i expected to shoot my 300 mgs of test, go to sleep and wake up in the morning with 20 lbs of quality muscle. after afew wasted cycles cuz of overtraining and poor diet( i was young dumb and didnt have a clue what the fuck i was doing) i actually did some research and figured it out. Do more research dude, you should know what to expect and when to expect it based off of what your taking. Im not dogging you bro, just dont want you to make the same dumbass mistakes as i did. Good luck bro
