What is the worst job that you........

I've had a few jobs that were the suck.

My first REAL job (where I got paid with a company check) was for New Jersey Realy Title Insurance Company.

CAN YOU SAY - BORING?!?!

I got paid minimum wage to show up every day after school to file and research lot and block numbers on microphishe (sp?). I was in the back with the files. The boss, a man by the name of George Stickel had BAD GI trouble and didnt mind spreading the love at all. He was always in the bathroom which was in the back of the office by the filing room where I worked. He would shut the window and leave the bathroom door wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open stinking up THE ENTIRE OFFICE.

God, did I HATE HATE HATE that job.

I lasted six months and swore that I would rather have my brains removed through my nose with a rusty coat hanger than to take another office job again.

babysitting a kid with violent mental illness when I was in HS. His mom would pay me $12/hr, which was high for babysitting, because no one else would watch him. The doors and windows all had keyed locks so he couldn't escape. WOWZERS!

ewww, yeah that sounds pretty bad.
I have had so many bad jobs, mainly I think because I word as a temp for a while. Which I did like being a temp because I got to work at any different places and got lots of experience. It sure beat flipping burgers (did that to). The worst places I found to work during that time was the banks.........every single one of them! I thought it must of been mandatory to be a stuck up bitch. Good thing was that I knew the bad ones were not permanant.
I also had a bad one during off season at a tax office......I couldn't take it!! There was no phones ringing or anyone coming by. I read so many books during that 2 weeks of hell.

Cleaning out horse stalls :worried:

detailing cars at a car dealership. The job itself was fine but the crew really sucked.

i worked with some of the lowest scum of the earth. coworkers cussed constantly and had piss poor attitudes. my boss was a racist, depressed, pissed off 40 yr old man. upper management and salespeople were a bunch of lying and cheating scumbags.

I hope its not like this at other car dealerships.

I've never had a worst job...

If I get booked for something that I didn't really want to do.. I wouldn't do it..

No matter what job you're in... Always see the good side of it...

I temped for a while too (yea, did administrative work for a few years as my ex didnt like me tending bar) and I actually enjoyed it. Lots of experience and you were never in any one office long enough to get caught up in the bullshit that goes on. I HATE THAT CRAP.

There was only ONE assignment that I refused to go back to. It was strictly data entry (can you say mindless monkey work?) and we were treated like cattle. I walked out at the end of the day and called the agency and told them PLEASE DONT MAKE ME GO BACK THERE! Good God was that shit awfull. You sat there all day with no thought, just punching numbers. You couldnt go to the bathroom or stretch your legs but for when the bell rang and everyone had to punch in and out for their 15 minute breaks. Then like lemmings rushing to their death, the chicks would all run outside for their smoke break.

sawing brick for a brick plant
sawing only the face off the brick with a wet diamond saw
went through 400-600 brick a day
summer only - part time
eventually drove me crazy and found another job

I've been working since I was 14 so I've have plenty of jobs. Some were really awfull for various reasons, others were a means to an end, and others still were enjoyable.

It's an odd thing to be able to do as you please (meaning, you make your own schedule).

Good God, I just remembered THE WORST BOSS ever. I worked for Merryl Lynch for 6 months until I quit. I had two bosses, one a lovely man by the name of Don and an absolute harpy psycho bitch by the name of Jean Wigner. She was a middle-aged alcoholic nutjob, never married no kids. She was still very attractive (must have been STUNNING before the alcohol and cigarettes took over) but was she EVER nuts. After I was assigned to her for like a week, that woman drove ME to drink. I later found out that no assistant lasted with her for more than 4 months. I lasted six before I told the office manager, "No amount of money could keep me here."

My ex then MADE ME beg for my job back (nice guy, eh?) and I was promptly fired two weeks later as I was later and later, would leave earlier and earlier, took longer and longer lunches and productivity was nill. My cool boss Don took me out to lunch on my last day and told me how sorry he was to see me go because I was so bright and outgoing, brought a light to the office. The rest of the women were nasty, back-stabbing two-faced witches, always talking about each other. <---- the NORM in every office I worked thereafter. Which is why I was so happy tempting and tickled pink once I became self-employed.

Bucking bales. Hot and miserable work, especially if you have to stack them in a barn. Good workout though.

Branding cows, more specifically, herding the young ones into the chutes. They shit allover you, fight like mad, kick. Cutting off their nards and searing their horns aint pleasant either.

Working for the university telefund. It's like telemarketing, except you have no product.

You're just begging for money. Luckily it was only 12 hrs/week for a semester before I quit that shit.

Yeah, I got $6/ hr. cash (good for back then) and was fed twice a day. It was mob owned and had a "mysterious" fire, ending my time there.

You haven't mentioned the time you put a dish in the dishwasher last month. Not even the time you made coffee in the morning yesterday.

LOL... In highschool I buttered the hamburger buns at fuddruckers! I got demoted from cashier because they said I looked pissed off all the time. Awful....

In all seriousness, probably every job that I have had as a lawyer has been excruciatingly terrible...lol.

buttered hamburger buns? Like they aren't fattening enough.
and sorry, but demoted from Fuddruckers is pretty bad then agian I would probally be pissed working there myself.
I worked for Ryan's....that was aweful, I pretty much stayed in the huge ice box restocking all the containers for the salad bowl. By the time I got out there, they all had to be refilled agian, so back to the ice box...I hated that job and finally got the courage to throw my apron on the bar and walk out the front door.

I was 17.

VP of Biz Dev for a web services start up that was owned by a self-medicating, chain-smoking, obese 70 yr old retired medical doctor. Mind you - MD selling software to the trucking industry....

I have never worked in such a toxic environment. As far as we could tell, the guy established the company to make himself relevant - meaning so he could have people to bitch at and make miserable. I loved the job & the opportunity but the environment & the behavior of the place, specifically him, were toxic. For ex -

- the head of his customer support staff was this 60 yr old bitch he's been fucking for 20 yrs despite the fact that she's married. She's a complete parasite and acted like she was God's gift. And had the balls to order people around & treat them like shit. Luckily the software side of the house blew her out of the water so she stayed the hell away from us.

- after his whole sales team quit, the guy would go himself on sales trips. And he'd go on a leased Lear jet. $20K / trip minimum. He was such a fat ass, he needed the whole back seat to sit. And the worst part was the smoking. He never stopped smoking. We called the plane "The Nicotine Express". No consideration at all for the people around him. He even blew smoke into the faces of clients and didn't even realize how disgusted they were. But you'd have to burn your clothes to get rid of that cigarette smell after a trip.

- the topper for me -- he offered me a free trip in the Lear jet up to my parents' house for a weekend because he was flying him & his kid up to Canada to go fishing. I was like, wow, how thoughtful! But here's what really happened. He flies me & the bitch up to Milwaukee to drop her off at the Milwaukee office & pick up his kid & their fishing gear. Then we fly over to my home town in MN. As we're getting off, he leans over & tells me "I'm going to pick up a friend here. I'd appreciate if you don't tell anyone." First, I was like -hey its your plane - I could give a shit what you do. The "friend" was his OTHER mistress who he took up to Lake of the Woods for the week. Then on the way back, he dropped her off again when he picked me up in MN and then back to Milwaukee to pick up the FIRST bitch and back to FL.

As soon as I got back from that trip, I gave my notice and quit a week later.

What a foul person.

You ever labored for the brickies and not have the advantage of choppiing with a wet saw? Plus had to mix mortar and stock brick all the way up scaffolding sometimes over 25ft high on houses and sometimes your way above that if your doing commercial work. Thats the worst job I've had next to fast food. I lasted about 3 days at a burger joint before getting pissed and throwing a big chunk of ice in the deep frier before walking off during the dinner rush. They were getting pissed cause I told them I wasn't going to bust my ass and hustle for $4.25 per hr.

I hope you didn't think I was dogging on you because I so wasn't!! I have been working since I was 15...part time after school till now and even though I have worked here 14 years I have had my share of those jobs also...

run down:
about 3 Wendy's
Taco Bell
2 Burger time's...home of the Cajan Blaze lol
2 Fast Track...they had the best fries
Burger King and McDonald's

I am sure there is more but that was so long ago. I just moved alot and they would transfer me.
Working fast food - sucks big time!!!!! But better to be out there working than staying at home mooching off mom & dad

Gutting, scaling, and fileting fish for a seafood store. Fishtales can attest to the smell never disappears.

It makes it really hard to work for someone that has no respect for no one by themselves, that in itself it tough enough!!

My dad is/was a brick layer by trade and when I was married and down and out...(my ex work for local 198, pipefitter's union and seem to be layed off more than not) my dad gave my ex a job to help us out....big mistake, they hate each other to this day...my dad is already a hard ass and to have to work for someone like that doing a very hard (from what I hear) job...not good combo.
Just sounds like a miserable job to have especially working in the heat we have down here.
